Great story!! I imagine you can use that one against him until the end of time! 😆 My mother had an arsenal of “goofs” my father made that she drew on at will. Example: Just don’t forget.... like the time you forgot to pick up eggs at the market in 1976!

These are stories we never forget though! My family got stuck in a blizzard with my sister's dumbass hippie boyfriend. He walked a long ass way to bring us coffee to make on the camp stove and accidentally bought decaf. Damn near witnessed a murder in 1993...

For Christmas I got a Christmas gift early and it is the original Vincent price cookbook the first published book from 1965 And you can tell it’s old because it smells like an old book but I’m so happy to be able to get it

My parents live kind of rurally too. No town water. Their water pump stops if the electricity goes out so you have to wash your hands and flush the toilet with buckets of water from a tank. I thought it was this way for everyone until I was about 15.

that's a good story, I remember one Christmas back in 1977. we were driving to New Mexico to spend it with my great, great Grandmother. I rode in a car with my cousins Lester, Jasper, and Luthor. We stopped at a Denny's to have dinner before we continued the trip. It was late about 10 pm. Just us some half drunk cowboys and some truckers in the place when this biker gang came in, They had some women with them and Luthor (He's the family idiot was staring at her. Well after a couple of seconds he turns to us and says "Damn if I had a dog that looked like that blonde over there I'd shave his ass and make him walk backwards." Well the bikers heard this and proceeded to mop the floor with Luthor. The drunk cowboys got involved and so did the truckers. Jasper, Lester and me made out the back and went around the front and watched the Denny's get trashed and then the cops arrived and hauled everybody inside including Luthor off to jail. We had to call our folks to come get us and bail Luthor out.
