We finally made it to Alaska and stopped in the Knotty Shop. They have so much neat stuff. We also stopped off to see the pipeline. The best was my birthday dinner at the Turtle Club.

That Pipeline area sure has changed since I lived in Anchorage. There was no viewing spot like this one, no interstate hwy. Just a 2 lane hwy. I lived there from 1981-1989. I really miss living there & getting the Prawns & Halibut. Love, love, loved Halibut. Can't afford it here in S. Texas. Enjoy your trip, safe travels. Luv ya's: GRAM👵in Texas.🙏❤

Nice shop. When I was in Alaska it was hard to find items made by native Alaskans. So many items had the made in China stickers. Some of the shops had signs that said Native Alaskan items.

You should take a small plane trip to MGrath. A small town in the bush. We lived there for a couple of years. They have a B&B to stay in. An interesting stop on the Iditarod trail. I think you would enjoy it . There are mostly natives living there.

You two have to stop into Alaska horn and Antler in Soldotna. Very unique shop, Tom Cooper is the owner carver. That is if you get to the Kenai Peninsula. The Reds should be in the Russian river now.
