My name is Sairam and my birth itself is a mircale experience for my parents. My parents got married late and was not having child for nearly 6 years (I am 27 and my parents are 70, 75). You can imagine the hardships. Suddenly one day, someone on road advice my parents to visit shirdi and my parents had no idea about shirdi. Then the day they visited, my father had a dream. Sai baba came in his dream and told 'you will get a boy child, name him after me'. And, within weeks my mother got pregnant and I was born. And, all these events happened on Thursday and I was even born on Thursday and I was named Sairam. Om Sairam. Sainath Maharaj ki jai.

I had a very rough phase during my teenage when my parents got separated which took a huge toll on my mental health causing trauma and anxiety issues and i had relocated to chennai for work, i was naive and alone and had my trust only on Saibaba (i used to think him as my amma n appa) and everyday i would visit a sai baba temple nearby just to see him and speak to him cause I had noone to share my feelings with! At one point when I had a breaking point and thought that i couldn't live anymore, i got a free book of sai baba from a road side suddenly..when i started reading, i had few pages that said Baba's letter for my daughter (Appa vin kaditham yen anbu magalukku) and it was back in 2014, it just had every single phase of my life and how Baba is with me at every phase! Been 10yrs now and he has kept me in a place where none of my relatives/friends/parents thought my life would be! I dont have words to showcase but just have immense gratitude! Shirdi is a miraculous place. I myself have experienced it. Around 25 years ago we went to shirdi with our friends... We went in train... Some one stole our money purse. When we reach hotel we found that our purse is stolen. We had all searched the bag 1000's time, but the purse was missing.Those days we didn't have atm, we have to go to bank to get money. Imagine going to another place without cash. Our friends helped us. During our visit temple one old man came and asked for money... My mother had few changes with her she gave him some 2 Rs. Then when we reached hotel we got the purse back in the same bag. We went search of the old man but we couldn't find him....

Can any one believe that an ordinary person could dream of constructing a Sai Baba Mandir ? This becomes truth when Shri Sai Baba’s divine grace fall on our desires which are fulfilled effortlessly. I had been worshipping in Shirdi since 1967 when Shirdi was a very small village with no proper place to say.Saibaba when alive is said to his devotees that 'one day Shirdi will become famous with very big buildings and frequented by all kinds of people '.Many of the people at that time laughed at him.But now I have seen how Shirdi had become such a big town with many facilities including a multi specialty hospital.

Shirdi sai baba in north India is a common saint. It's just like Ramana maharishi in south, everyone is familiar but it's not like that in south India or Singapore and Malaysia. Sai baba became very popular after the tv series 6 yrs ago especially in Singapore and Malaysia. Also there is a growth of foreigners who come to these countries to work and start bhajan groups in temple. My family has been praying to say baba more than 25yrs and being a Singaporean rarely anyone knew him back then.

Hindus have freedom of worship. They believe in many gods and the avatars. Christians worship the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Catholics also revere their saints and Mary. Muslims only pray to Allah. Many Muslims respect the dargahs, but worshipping them is prohibited. I have visited the Thanjavur Big Temple, Meenakshi Temple (Madurai) and the Swami Malai temple a few times. 😊(I am a Muslim)
