The Tale of Gutsy Ninja about the Child of Prophecy Jiraya talked about I think it was Itachi. Seeing Naruto and Itachi grow makes me kinda sad especially Itachi's side of story.. He literally was made to become the True Hokage of Konoha. That's a fact for sure even if he was alive and chosen to be Hokage, Kakashi would've agreed without doubt. Naruto is a strong lad but emotions do brother him while Itachi is just fearless. Plus the things Itachi did for the sake of the village is almost unbearable to live with such a burden.. We all know how strong Naruto is but he's no match for someone like Itachi. How many times could Itachi end Naruto and that with just a blink of a eye of Tsukuyomi. Look at the whole picture how Itachi grew up as a genius then joined ANBU then Akatsuki. Saved the village from the Uchiha (planned a whole massacre with Obito to wipe Uchiha clan). Itachi talked about Madara once with Sasuke.. While Nagato(pain) who was back then the leader of Akatsuki. So the Rinnegan was not that important to Itachi at all. Sometimes I think Itachi could easily beat Nagato and take his Rinnegan. But he mentioned Madara in a way that made me thinking he was planning something big. I mean he was planning things from the start as if he knew the future outcome. Especially that moment when he stored a bird with Shisui's Sharingan eye (Kotoamatsukami) into Naruto. Then later activates it to break free from anyone who controls him. I mean he really hates taking orders from anyone XD. Then he one shot Nagato so easily like it was nothing he only had mangekyou sharingan. Left alone EMS(Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan) or even better the Rinnegan. My point is back when he fought Sasuke and told him about Madara. Nagato was their leader of the Akatsuki where he and Kisame were already in the organization. Itachi already knew Nagato had Rinnegan but I believe he personally wanted to take down Madara. Seeing Itachi helping Naruto and Sasuke as if he knew they are Sage of Six Path. As in Naruto ascendant from Asura. As in Sasuke ascendant from Indra. As in Hashirama ascendant from Asura. As in Madara ascendant from Indra. But what about Itachi I mean I think he is both Naruto and Sasuke as one person.

Edo Tensei is a forbidden jutsu, it is so esoteric only few select people are familiar and know and to execute it. Madara cannot release his bind [to Kabuto] because he is under the contract to Kabuto the caster, when Kabuto release the spell the contract vanished and Madara knowing the seal released himself to fully revived himself (no longer a zombie) but with unlimited vitality and chakra given by the spell. That to say, if an edo tensei caster reanimated someone who happens to have also used edo tensei they can use the hand signs to release themselves ones the caster dispells the jutsu

Madara is second to Naruto in terms of plot armor. Hasirama, who is stronger than him, is not even able to release the Orochimaru's edo tensei during the Chunnin Battle. Shame

When Orochimaru used Edo Tensei against the Third Hokage, he implanted kunai with sealing tags attached into the 1st and 2nd which basically turned them into puppets. They weren't able to control their body movements, so Orochimaru was solely in control of their hand movements. What Madara said was that Edo Tensei can be cast by the reanimated versions of themselves, on themselves. Kabuto never tried to control Madara like a puppet, he let Madara do what he wanted, and it was only after Itachi and Sasuke beat Kabuto that the Edo Tensei was reversed. This was when Madara weaved the hand signs of the Edo Tensei Jutsu, not to resist Kabuto, as he never had to, but to stop himself from fading away. It's not really explained that if Kabuto had decided to try to control Madara's movements, that Madara would be able to break from it, but my guess is no, since not even the 2nd Hokage, who created the edo tensei jutsu, was able to do it when Orochimaru reanimated him. The only character who's able to resist the puppet state Edo Tensei was Itachi, but that was pure luck, as Itachi had implanted Shisui's eye into a crow that he put inside Naruto and it just happened to be that Naruto ended up meeting reanimated Itachi. Itachi never intended for that to happen. Itachi said that he used Inzanagi on Naruto so that the crow with Shisui's eye would activate if anyone tried to use Itachi's eyes/his mangekyou sharingan on Naruto and cast Kotoamatsukami (Shisui's genjutsu that could control the victims body and mind) on the enemy. Itachi didn't think he would be reanimated and the jutsu cast on himself, he thought that Sasuke would take his eyes after his death (which he did) and that Naruto and Sasuke would end up fighting and Sasuke would be the target of Kotoamatsukami.

@@haydenhoodless2055 actually it is not entirely true. The kunai implanted in the head works both controlling and activating the jutsu. In the case of Madara, he is like what Kabuto says to Deidara, only activates him without removing Deidara's personal feelings. Kabuto is actualy half-controlling madara in the way. He can place where madara should be fighting. Madara is like "nagato" before being half controlled by Kabuto, too. But Madara and Deidara are the same, evil from the core. So Kabuto did not need to spend times to control both. Overall, it is just absurd and less explanation as why Edotensei Madara is stronger than that of Hasirama. No detailed information is given at least in anime.

If you watch the anime again, Edo Madara and Edo Hashirama are pretty even in their fight, even though Edo Madara has access to Senju DNA via the face on his chest thanks to Kabuto which gives him Edo Rinnegan and sage ability. Hashirama manages to pin Madara with his wood gates. It's at that point Madara uses rinne-rebirth by controlling Obito that Madara is able to beat Edo Hashirama. Hashirama says when Madara is reborn that Madara is restoring himself to his former power. The Edo versions are not as powerful as the real versions, plus Madara gets one of his real rinnegan eyes back from Zetsu. He beats the 1st and 2nd hokage by pinning them down with Chakra rods like Pain does to Naruto and Jiraiya. Edo Madara is not like Edo Nagato, Nagato was fully under Kabuto's control, not half, Madara wasn't. Madara is not evil from the core. Did you not watch the episodes about his back story, him being the reanimation of Indra, the manipulation by black Zetsu and the Uchiha tablet and the second Hokage describing that Uchiha's have intense love, which turns into hatred because of a defect in their DNA, the same defect responsible for their sharingan, and how the sharingan is borne out of sadness and loss of loved ones? Kabuto can't place where Madara should be fighting really, that's why he used Mu to summon Madara's coffin. Once he was out of the coffin, and because Kabuto wasn't controlling Madara, Madara did what he wanted. What Madara wanted was to be revived by Obito and his Ten Tails and Gedo Statue/Tree of life plan to happen so that he could cast the infinite Tsukyiomi. Kabuto didn't control Deidara or Sasori either, because he didn't have to, as you say, nothing to do with feelings or all that shit. Kabuto's mistake was thinking that he would be able to release the Edo Tensei of Madara and make him dissappear if Madara decided to go against Kabuto's wishes. Madara points out in this very video, "Tell the caster, not to use Edo Tensei so carelessly". What Madara is saying is that Kabuto should have taken control of Madara like he did with Nagato, because they can cast the edo tensei on themselves and break free from the original casters control. I should say, I was wrong about the kunai being to control them, the edo tensei itself gives the caster the potential to control those who they reanimated. The kunai Orochamiru used was some sort of power up to make them more "alive", but not rinne rebirth alive. Kabuto chose to control some and left others to control themselves.

I mean madara can get obito to learn edo tensei and use it on him after his death. Later on, he will break free from the caster and search for his rinnegan and/or collect the tail beast. Since he has unlimited chakra and free from damage, i believe he is invincible without hashirama around. The reason why akatsuki is around is because of black zetsu using them as part of the plan to revive mama. but a edo tensei madara is stronger than akatsuki.
