Same here, just downloaded it myself and haven't played a Madden since the ps2 era, planning on firing it up for the first time tonight and wish he had gone over certain key things like how to stiff arm, take off as the QB, and fake snap to try and draw the opponent off sides. This is the best explanation I've seen. I know the rules of football inside and out, but when I get to Madden it's always figuring out all of the mechanics and how to get the best yardage. For me, the worst thing that keeps happening is when I throw a pass to a player, they'll jump up and grab it but will immediately drop it in the air once they are tackled by the man on them.

Thanks, Eric. Is EA going to fix the Momentum setting in franchise mode? You can toggle it OFF but it still appears in-game and impacts gameplay. Happening for all users and EA has yet to acknowledge it

The receiver at 1:30 is actually open in the NFL. But the madden programmers don't allow for proper trajectory in the game without ADDITIONAL user input. Like high point pass. If I push up on the left stick and lob that pass, that's a TD in the NFL any good QB can make. But underthrown balls are a nuisance in this game. Even high school qbs don't make those throws. Trajectory is important in passing. I've thrown more ints this way than any other.

yep cant get any more wide open in the league than that. Pass trajectory even when you use the freeform pass system it still comes out way too damn low. Touch passes are too slow and idk if its my controller but LOB passes are impossible now.

@dkoda840 and it's inconsistent. I can make that throw one play and then the next play it's like the game doesn't want me to. Also I'm getting super tired of DBs batting down passes all over the place. Even while their back is turned and not even "looking" at the play. This is definitely not sim. But here's the main problem. The CPU Qb doesn't seem to have this problem with my defense. They make perfect reads and throws and evade my defenders no matter the Qb. Even on all pro. I like the game. But it needs tweaks. Even the sliders don't help. More sliders like 2k would probably help. Also the ability to import them and change them mid game. But it's EA. 🤷‍♂️

@@somelikeithot38 Yep no one should be able to perfectly swat a ball they cant see, its not like madden has special animations that show the receiver is about to go for the ball like we see irl. NAP defenders should always be punished if left on an island but madden just refuses to implement this. Specially cause as you mentioned the user can barely replicate this especially if they do not have elite corners with abilities. Its insane how far this franchise has fallen. Sadly this madden is better than the past few but if you polish shit its still shit even if it looks slightly better.

Not sure where to find an answer to this. But I just purchased madden 24 for ps4 and noticed when I hold down the R2 trigger along with the running direction after a few seconds the ball carrier begins to taunt or celebrate and leads to a fumble.
