I used to work on this game for 3 seasons. Nearly every problem with this game was in this game before Frostbite (I have 10 years of video proving that), so removing Frostbite will do almost nothing since the majority of what they do with Frostbite in Madden is take advantage of its lighting and shader tech. That's changing somewhat this year as they're using some tech for AI, but still. This game was not rebuilt in Frostbite, they simply transferred some Frostbite tech over to the Madden codebase starting with 18. Madden has not been rebuilt since Madden 06 XBOX 360, and the game you're playing now is still running on that code and tech foundation from 18 years ago which is why the game still has so many problems today. As for physics, all collision-based games have physics including Madden. If they didn't, every character would just pass through each other and the game would be totally unplayable. Madden's physics are not great, but they're in there. The only hope for Madden is for it to be built brand-new, ground up on modern technology and by a different and more talented development team than EA Tiburon. Otherwise, expect things to never change.

@@TheChallenger1000 I truly appreciate the insider insite. I definitely makes more sense on why the game is the way it is now. It just seems like the Infinity engine, even though it had its own problems, and the games from Madden 10-12 were a better looking game with its physics on collisions and not so animation based. Hopefully someday will rebuild the game from ground up so it can return back to its glory days. I just hope the new College Football game is rebuilt enough to give it a better foundation.

@@kwall337 No problem. 12 was running a pre-cursor to Infinity for closer contact physics, that's why the contact was so solid in 12. 13 is when they introduced the Infinity real-time physics engine and to me the RTPe was much better in Madden 25 7th gen, and way better in Madden 25 8th gen, but of course they didn't stick with that and build on it because the producers are mostly clueless. The college game is running on the current Madden code and tech which is just the old code and tech they've been building on top of for nearly 2 decades, no rebuild. Sorry.

Yes playing nba 2k most players have unique game style and the ratings matter but playing madden I can get 200 yds with a 70 overall ea just keep recycling the same games from 10-15 years ago

I know you're trying to defend ea to maintain your relationship with them, but ea has always taken a single great play, and instead of making it rare, made it too common to sell the game. The one handed, falling backward Odell Beckham catch is the best example of this. "Marketing" or whoever, it reflects poorly on madden as a whole regardless.

I know it's a beta, but last night during a game I received a punt in the 4th quarter, and the ball just bounce 20yards forward and I couldn't pick it up with my men standing by the ball crazy EA.

For the hit everything I think it's amazing and you do have a lot of drop passes but I found if you have a really good receiver they will catch it. I'm so excited about catching traffic. Actually being a thing for years you will never consistently catch in traffic after I hit and the way they have it. I like it because it's pretty balanced. They give both the receiver and defender a chance at making a play. I was beat on one play and instead of doing some unrealistic SWAT when the receiver got the ball in his hands I hit the swap button and he actually swatted the receivers hands and broke up the play

I say it EVERY madden. Tighten the coverage, reward on time throws and punish late throws. Put the vision cone back out there as a defensive tool to watch QB eyes. Have a primary read pre snap that you can change. Make looking players off as part of the game, part of the PROGRESSION of the play. And make DTs a bigger part of influencing running lanes. DTs don’t do squat unless you user.

It’s not the taking out the referees that’s the problem. It’s the whole game that never feels like football u watch on Sundays. Taking out refs was one of MANY things that makes it not feel like simulation football.

This guy's breakdown seems 100% legit he's not hyping it at all pretty much that honest to say if you don't like Madden 23 then you probably won't like Madden 24 since it's just more polished. Sadly for me since it went next gen I mean on the 360 and Playstation 3 the game has never been the same probably Madden 09 was the last that I played of it. So I'm assuming this won't be for me but I get the 10-hour trial with Game Pass ultimate last year I lost it about 1 hour before I shut it off.

They want more ppl to play Madden. So the skill gap is not totally there. We see kids and women competing with ppl they would never compete with because some plays are overpowered. I agree, I've always been highly critical of Madden over the past few yrs cuz gameplay was unacceptable, but they took a step in the right direction last yr regarding gameplay. Like u said, it seems as tho they polished the gameplay, and I'm fine with the overlaod of celebrations because that aspect of the game has been so dry/disappointing. Anxious to play 🤷‍♂️

The discourse in sports gaming, is easily the most redundant in the industry. Both sides think the other is full of shit, "it looks the same as last year," is a statement I've heard about damn near every sports game since I was 12, outside of large leaps in graphical fidelity, and that's only gonna change with new game engines (those don't get cranked out every year, mind you). Gameplay goes back and forth with every franchise regardless of drama. "2K had this ages ago!" Okay? And MGS2 and 3 still shit on damn near every game in terms of what you can actually do in gameplay, and those came out ages ago, so what are we really saying? Just play what you like.

i don't like this line play. it's too offensive friendly. there is no balance between oline and dlline. outside DE outside edge contain on QB roll outs or outside runs is HORRIBLE. It's reverted back to M22 where the QB's will run crazy!! i hated that so much. it's just hike, roll out, easy 20-30 yds....no matter the QB

EA had the Nfl License for 15years and I don't see any improvement. This coming from a Old School Gamer since the Beginning when the First Madden came out. Defense is perfect right now, man and zone are both reliable and dare I say.. good. Money routes like corners, posts, zigs etc aren't nearly as game breaking. I fully anticipate people to complain that they can't move the ball and for EA to nerf the hell out of the defense which will be both unfortunate and expected.

I’m going to go with my gut feeling. “Same ol’ Madden” It’s the same cycle every year. The way the game plays on day one will be nothing like the way it will play at the end of the year. Dummed down DBs, Pass Rush slowed down until it feels nonexistent, contains dialed back. 90 speed 198 lbs DBs still being able to shrug off 300 lb OLs and my favorite!!! Zones dropping to spots on the field covering grass and Caspers. While they smile and say “No we haven’t touched the gameplay”

Last year was supposed to be the best game this year they are shitting on last year. The have access to AWS and all the camera footage why don’t we have authentic playbooks..?
