Idea for a video you can rebuild the team however you like but all there contracts expire at the same time. If you trade for players draft players or sign player they get there contract changed to the years left for your current batch. Now you have to resign the whole team at the same time. You should take a page from my playbook and do something I do every single year. In roster management, before franchise, I trade to create a team that's 100% rookies, with only the exception of three second year players that are dubbed "captains". Starts off a little bit rough but with rapid development you eventually have an overpowered young team. The best part is with so many rookies, it really gives you variety of who you want to start versus who's your backup. And even more importantly, which three second year players do you put on your team?

Do a rebuild where you can’t resign anybody. You can do anything else, but you have to let them go, and you can’t sign the same players in free agency unless you let them go, they sign a contract, and then come back available later, if that makes sense.
