Victoria's journey was more entertaining. Maddie was always so sweet and receptive. Victoria was not so likeable in her first season and was a know-it-all. It makes better viewing to see someone humbled and return a reformed person ( Victoria) rather just than returning as a stronger dancer ( Madeline and most of the other DCC returnees)

I have been so proud of Maddie. She went to “bottom 10” to point of the triangle. She went home that first year and you can see the dedication and hard work she put in to be the best she can be. I danced for my SEC college’s team and I was told my naturally curly hair was “unprofessional”. I had to straighten it everyday to blend with the other girls and it ruined my curl pattern. There were no black girls on dance, but there were a couple on the cheer squad and they always had their hair pressed as well. It’s sad that naturally curly hair is seen as “wild and unprofessional”. That’s just the way God made us.

If I was her I would have been so insecure just by having to change my hair and makeup, she was already beautiful. But I guess DCC will make you feel insecure if you don't have "the look".
