You are the only person who has a pregnancy video for adenomyosis. So thank you. I really want to know what type of adenomyosis you have as this seems to be key in pregnancy? I have moderate diffuse adenomyosis just diagnosed. I am absolutely devastated and it’s even more challenging because the UK seems to be medieval about adenomyosis knowledge. I feel very hopeless just now but still I just need some straight talking as my gynaecologist told me it didn’t impact fertility despite me trying for nearly 10 months at the time and having an early miscarriage.

i just had miscarriage and found out that i had adenomyosis.... I really wanted to have children and it might be the reason why its so hard for me to get pregnant and maybe the reason of my miscarriage. i heard so many things about my adenomyosis and how it cayses infertility... I just wanted to have a child

Thank you so much for sharing this. I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis a little over a week ago, after 7 years of visiting clueless doctors and having multiple scans and emergency hospitalisations for severe dysmenorrhea. This video made me feel less alone and just so heard. The doctor has told me that I need to start trying to get pregnant within a year. I'm on a hormonal medication that is prescribed to Endo patients for the next 6 months after which I need to seriously start trying. I only just got married so it's a big step for my husband and I. No one has any knowledge on this disease, so it's been such an eye opener to try and understand this from the perspective of other women who have the same condition. This is so helpful! Thanks again just for being so vulnerable and supportive.

Sending much love Maddie! I’m too scared to even go get checked for endo. You’re so freaking brave and the fact that you went straight to doing something that might help someone else is amazing x

Well, now I’m really scared! Thank you so much for making the video though! I got my adenomyosis diagnosis about one month ago and the specialist I talked to said I shouldn’t worry about the infertility part until I actually want children, which is in about 3-4 years (I’m 25, partner 26). But I definitely want children in the future. I also struggled with mental health both on and off the pill. Guess, I need to take a few deep breaths now!

They told me the exact same thing! That I shouldn’t worry about my fertility until I want children

You’re a strong woman Maddie, very brave of you to share this and I (as a white male) found it very educational too. You and Ryan will be great parents to little Naruto, I think you guys have the strength and dedication to breeze it.

That is so interesting I have almost the same story. Bad periods when I was young..went on pill..I was also on the pill a long time and taken off due to the aura/ocular migraine. Also had an awful mirena experience. Then after being taken off was in bad pain a lot and got told about adenomyosis.

Thank you for sharing your story ❤️ I was just diagnosed with Adenomyosis last week and I was devastated. I have one child who is 10 years old and have always wanted another one when I found the right man to marry. I have a procedure for the uterine Adenomyosis embolization next month to hopefully preserve my uterus as well as having the IUD inplaced until I am ready but...it is scary to feel that I only have a certain amount a time to have another child. There are risks with this procedure but I hope that...it helps prolong my uterine health.

Sending you lots of love, your situation sounds very difficult too. It's really hard to weigh everything up when there's no way of really knowing how much time we have left to complete our families or the struggles we may face. Wishing you the best of luck with the IUD I hope it works out for you!!! Some women love it some women hate it, I hope you love it and it helps. Good luck with everything on your journey, wishing you the absolute best for the future ❤️

Hi, Maddie. I appreciate your sharing of your experience. Like you, I also have endometriosis (last diagnosed with stage 2-3) and diffuse adenomyosis, and am struggling with infertility. Are you also in Melbourne? May I know who your specialist is, please? Thank you very much!

I've been diagnosed with adenomyosis as well and I'm only 22 years old and never had children or pregnant. I'm very worried as well and I don't know what to do in terms of children. I always wished to have a big family but now I'm realising that it might not be possible for me as well. I am in my last year of uni and I don't think I'm ready to have children before I can even start my career.

The stress is real, but it’s really good you know now so you can be more prepared. My specialist is monitoring mine with internal ultrasounds by someone who is specialised in screening for those, so I’ll know how it’s tracking, I think that would be the best for you too or anyone with adenomyosis! You could have more time up your sleeve then you know, the thing with this condition is you never know when it’s going to get worse. Hopefully your doctor can advise you on things to do in the mean time to hopefully keep it at bay ❤️❤️❤️ Sending you lots of love, I understand how hard it can be.

For some reason, I am unable to find the AU Support group (link you provided). The system has failed me. I have a lot of IVF cycles, all failed implantation and everyone was telling me, there is no problem after even having laproscopy and D&C too. Now that I am mid-40s, I was told that I may have Adenomyosis as my uterus started having small but more than 10 fibroids. Now it is a bit late for me to be pregnant given my uterus has continuously deteriorated. I am very sad at this point.

So I also got migraines on the pill, had to switch to mini pill because of them for the same reason. My migraines weren't ocular ones though. I also needed an MMR booster but I've needed 3 boosters since that first one. Keep up with those positive thoughts because when your baby is here it won't matter how they got here just that they are.

Thanks Jacqueline, it was very hard in the beginning but I think so far everything has worked out the way it should and I couldn't be happier to be pregnant with this little one now.
