I wanted to watch this for review and was happy to learn about 'an dá' and the 'an t-aonú is fiche' quirks. One thing that also threw me a bit, but wasn't really clarified, was in the example test for "the sixth person", I put "an séu dhuine" because of the 2-6/7-10 rule (also helpful to have it named as such, for me). But it seems that only applies to cardinal numbers and not ordinal. Could be good to remember that it's probably a trap new students would fall into, because we're not told (in any book I've seen, but it's probably hiding in the details somewhere) about no mutations on following nouns with ordinal numbers. GRMMMMA!

Haigh Alex. Go raibh míle maith agat as an tacaíocht mar is gnách! That's a very good point Alex, and yep, it is something I maybe should have clarified. The 2-6/7-10 rule applies essentially when the English sentence has a number on the noun (e.g. six people, six dogs, six books), in other words, when you're telling me how many of something there is. However 'sixth' isn't really a number (yes, I do realise I called them the ordinal numbers, maybe adding to confusion haha). If you say 'the sixth person' I still don't know how many people there are, compared to 'six people', where I know there are six people present. So rules such as 2-6 won't apply to 'an séú ' Hope that makes sense 😊 GRMMA!
