So similar to south India. This is exactly how any village side South Indian home is. So beautiful. Reminds me of my childhood. We call it idiappam. A favorite in my home. The utensils, the coconut scraper, the coconut opener everything is the same. The wooden pots and spoons. Everything is exactly as it was in my grandparents home even the baskets. So beautiful! I have scrapped coconuts using the same scrapper. We have a mini version of the stone she used to make the paste. The taste is awesome when that is used instead of mixer. It is difficult but that is how it used to be in my grandparents home. So happy to see the same traditions being followed in this age of technological advancement and fastpaced lifestyle. 😊 Live a Happy contented Life. God bless you 😊 ✝️

I don't care if haters said you copy Lizi qi because every country has their own Lizi qi and even tho I'm a big fan of her, it didn't prevent me to enjoy your video, or other Lizi qi inspired video - as long as it's their actual lifestyle, not a staged one for the sake of copying (I also saw a lot like that -_-). Grandma is so cute. I just discovered her channel & it’s so unique & different to the other Indian or Sri Lankan cooking channels. I can’t stop watching and wanting to live there or eat her food or even get her to teach me to cook the dishes. There are similarities, I just noticed that her things are like Lizie - the famous Chinese cook. Things like the bamboo water fountain, how she makes things from scratch, arranges flowers 🌸 on her table, picks veggies 🌶 from her garden, her grandma, & even having a desert or drink for the meal she created. Still, it is a different country and culture, where there is no winter/snow compared to Lizie’s life. She actually farms her land. She’s done really well & seeing this makes me want to go to Sri Lanka 😀. Well done! 👍🏻👏

For everyone questioning if her attire is traditional, YES! This is the traditional day-to-day wear worn by young women in the villages of Sri Lanka at their household. It’s called ‘Cheeththa gawuma’ ‘Cheeththa’ = fabric with flower, or different patterns on it, ‘gawuma’ = frock/dress. The other traditional formal wear is called ‘Osari’ also known as Kandyan sari which is worn for formal occasions.

In Kerala we call it Idiappam. Most of Kerala's Breakfast cuisine has Srilankan influence. Heard somewhere even Kerala's Puttu and Appam came from SriLanka.
