SNARE COVER 斎藤洸のカバー第3弾。
劇伴で歌い手として数曲参加させて頂いたTVアニメ「メイドインアビス」。　その中の1曲である「Hanezeve Caradhina」はとても沢山の反響を頂いた曲でした。
ロンドン在住の若き作曲家 Kevin Penkin作曲。
今回はこの曲を、僕らしく自由にアレンジしてみました。
これまでの音楽活動のバックグラウンドが見えるようなギターサウンド中心に、エモーショナルなボーカル。
沢山の人達に聴いてもらいたい。そして、メイドインアビスのアニメーションとケビンのサウンドがいかに相性が良く、多くの人達を巻き込んだか...そのエネルギーを感じてもらいたいです。

Recently I took ketamine therapy for treatment resistant depression. For most of my life, I have had suicidal thoughts. On the advice of my doctor and many online sources, I constructed a music playlist to listen to during my ketamine trip. I asked the doctor about how long it would take for the experience to reach its maximum effect, and then I timed my playlist so Hanazeve Caradhina would play during that time. Listening to Penkin and Saitou's original version, I saw an incredibly beautiful cloudy blue sky stretching out infinitely. My body began to stretch as well, up toward that deep blue sky. I stretched out infinitely, growing ever thinner, until I disappeared. In that moment I experienced a fraction of what death is like. And though I am still struggling, I credit this song for helping me know deep down within me that it will be okay. We will all be okay.

同意。原曲を初めて耳にした時は低音のめっちゃ上手い、ゴスペルとかのバックボーンがある大柄な黒人女性あたりだと思ってました。声の擦れまでが、まさに「エキゾチックで甘く切ない」表現力全開でイヤフォンで聴いたら幸せになれました！ しかも、セルフカバーではまさかの弾き語りで披露してくれるなんて。歌とギターどっちか片方だけでも超絶技巧の域なのに両方同時にこなされていて、もう感動が頭の中で大渋滞を起こして聴き終わった後は変な笑いが思わず出てました。 そして、100万再生おめでとうございます。国外でも、もちろん日本国内でも実力派アーティストとして更に多くの人に知ってもらいたい方ですよね。

I just discovered this song when I started watching Made in Abyss about a month ago. THE FIRST time I heard it I teared up while it played. It was beautiful. I immediately looked it up on YT and found this. I lost my singing voice to a throat disease and I started balling my eyes out because I want to sing along and cover this song so bad 😢.
