@vorname nachname About 27h of just sitting in my room pressing one ore two buttons just like he did in the video... just longer At 27 houres or so my eyes closed and i fell asleep but it is possible to still clear the rooms at this level i can imagen that it is not possible to get to lvl 500 as he tried it because at some point they just start to spawn more enemys than you can kill at once i think you just need a good series or playlist on a second monitor or something while you keep the game in fullscreen while you eat a lot of junk and drink a lot of energy drinks

Considering that the frame rate improves when you empty your inventory, and you've picked up so much crap during the run, maybe on some levels where you had the extra 2 minutes take that time and do an inventory dump--might not stop the droids from being a problem, but combined with the reduced droids you are probably looking at, it seems like a way to make it "playable"

It's more the game lags a bit transferring items wirelessly to his stash, I think. Not that his inventory fills up in general causes slowdown.

@@KainYusanagi So then the real answer is to fill his inventory up with at least 1 of anything he might get in bulk so that it stays in his inventory rather than go to the stashes? that way individual items that he only gets individual items sent back to base? question marks because I don't know if the loot tables change throughout the experience, but it still seems like something that would be cleared up by emptying his inventory every X# of levels

@@Shadowhawkdark if he has room in his inventory it just goes straight to there. stacks are infinite in inventory. You can manually store stuff in a stash and still have a stack build up on yourself. There's no issue clearing inventory and then just gathering up whatever drops naturally.

@@KainYusanagi The problem wouldn't be about the stacks building up, the problem would be the number of items that DONT fit in his inventory-this is why I mentioned not knowing if the loot tables changed--if, for instance, the beginning levels dropped iron, then after say, at level 15 it stops dropping iron and drops gold instead, and at level 30 it stops dropping gold and starts dropping diamonds--thats not how it works but work with me----if you keep your inventory the whole time, by the time you reach gold, with all the other drops in the cave, you might not be able to pick it up in the first place, so all gold goes to the chests, causing lag...or...you could just clear the inventory at 15, 30, 45 etc and get less lag until your inventory fills up again--since loot drops aren't so cut and dry though you would obviously need to drop items fairly often, he would figure a system out as time went on, but the best bet would be to make the most common items that drop in the biggest bulks be preset into his inventory (hence the "at least 1 of" mentioned before) or clear out his inventory between waves if time allows.

currently at 1:49 was the mistake him storing his EMP grenades he made specifically for the dungeon so he can kill things off screen? we shall see. edit: 3:02 NVm lol edit2: turns out it was just straight up exhastion and perhaps an army of droids cause too much lag that was the problem. You are right about it being the droids, as one of the bosses becomes agro when you have droids. Because he teleports across the map instantly, it does cause *some* of the lag you experienced. The rest of the lag is just the huge number of dark beets teleporting.

Hey DF Using a nuke can let you 1 shot early maps. If you want to save on time then using nukes can help thin the enemies since it will almost always kill the small enemies instantly, regardless of where they are on the map.

If you play in windowed mode and right click the top bar on top of the game, you can pause while in the void. I'm not sure how this look with recording or if the game crashes after a while but it worked for about a minute when I went to do something while playing

All my time in the void paid off! made it into the video :P Also to make it further faster maybe use potions? i always use Bloodfury Cocktail, as well as Thunderstrike. Bloodfury will help explode and clear the mobs faster, but also lags a bit so sometimes it's better to just run around and not use rod to kill enemies, only bosses really. Also in the secret options you can turn all droids into basic droids so they don't have names and special sprites.

Droids are still an ok idea but what I have learned from personal experience is enemy selection is crucial for it to be possible in a timely manner. The Dark Beet is #1 priority the orbs it shoots in mass hordes can slow the game to a standstill and even kill you next being the Slime King because it will mass produce slime and lag the game badly and #3 is the Skeleton King and Ice Mini-Boss as both shoot projectiles in waves and the king spawns more enemies. ALSO BRING MORE POTIONS FOR THE SMALLER ENEMIES AND DEMON SCROLLS ARE REQUIRED TO GET THROUGH SOME FLOORS!

Dunno if this will help anyone, but my game really started chugging even outside the void biome, so I moved the install over to my SSD and it sped things up considerably - like a LOT. Granted, I haven't been super super far (around floor 200) in the void yet with like 200 droids, so dunno if i'll run into much lag at that point, but it was still very helpful.

This is with a buff. The timer for each floor used to be only 2 min. Making even getting to 30 impossible for the achievement. They doubled the time shortly after.

I know this is kinda a late comment. But you should try again with the Atomic bombs. Make like 5k of them and drop 3 to 6 per level to clear everything on screen as fast as possible. Just tested it. And it does huge damage to bosses as well.

i love the ironic use of zelda sounds and what not. like the sound cue for unlocking an item when the frames dropped to under 20... also if by floor 150 you get over 2000 enemies are the droids really effecting the game frame rate that much? i mean i'd assume constantly generating new enemies plus all of their combined animations would be more devastating than to what is only couple droid animations by comparison.
