Madeira, Portugal | Praia Formosa to Câmara de Lobos walk

Join us on a walk from Praia Formosa (Formosa beach) to Câmara de Lobos. This delightful bay, filled with colourful boats is just a few kilometres walk from Funchal on the isle of Madeira, Portugal. This walking tour was filmed in January 2021. No narration or music, just the natural sights and sounds of this walking tour along the Madeiran coast.

Lovely video, if all goes as planed my wife and I will be living in Madeira next year. I'm learning Portuguese at the moment so as to be able to mingle with the locals and get a true feeling of the place.

Câmara de Lobos...saudades e muitas recordações. Este revisitar fez-me voltar aos meus 20 anos. Há muitas alterações, mais espaços de lazer, mais embelezamento...que bom!! Só tive pena de não ter visto o Ilhéu, o verdadeiro coração de Câmara de Lobos. Lá ficou um pouco de mim.

My dearest Y&M !! How are you ?, I hope things are going better in the UK now! We have fewer restrictions here now, for a week, but the infections have not dropped much and there is a fear of variants. I don't think it was good to loosen some restrictions. I'm afraid we will pay the consequences ... My precious friends! Truly Madeira is a fantastic find for me! What a wonderful place! So welcoming, colorful, picturesque ... And with stupendous views, to visit and stay there for a few days to fully discover it! With your splendid walks you are doing it to me showing it in the best way, as always. Nice to see the restaurants and cafes and little shops overlooking the sea ... Everything seems so relaxed and peaceful. What it takes to eliminate all the stress we have accumulated in recent months. Thanks as always for letting me travel a little with you. It is always a joy for me. Have a blessed weekend. Hi dear Renata, how good to hear from you. We are still in lockdown here but being able to go for walks is just lovely (now we have finished our quarantine). Especially as it's sunny and warm today. I completely agree that Madeira is a wonderful place! As you say, welcoming, colorful and picturesque indeed! It felt very special to be able to sit in a cafe overlooking the sea and be relaxed.
