Madeira, PR14 Levada dos Cedros, Fanal

This video follows the route "PR14-Levada dos Cedros", which starts and ends at Estrada Regional 209.
During our hike in October 2023, Madeira had a lot of wildfires. The valley of Ribeira Janela is blue with smoke.
This Levada dos Cedros, is 7 km long, Our hike starts in the area of Curral Falso and ends on the road ER 209 in Fanal. In the second video, we continue from there through Fanali's park-like area back to our starting point. More on that in my second video. If we do a ring hike through the Fanal forest, the total length of the trip is 11 km.
This is a trip where the hiker walks along a levada surrounded by lush vegetation.
