It was a really good movie, it reminded me of how good movies use to be. Now all we are stuck with is super hero movies after super hero movies. It took me away from reminding me how bad movies and cliche movies have become. As Johnny Depp calls its, formulaic. It have reminded me of a 90s movie that’s telling a good story, good twists added in, I love how it took place in the 70s too, not set in L.A, New York or some over used locations. I dnt see too many era movies too especially ones that take place in the 60s or 70s. Aside from maybe stranger things, granted it was in the 80s. Never the less you’re right it was a great thriller movie.

@@johndough5192 I totally agree. It has that classic feel of, say, The Shining. An engaging, well told story that explodes at its inevitable conclusion. By the end you are totally invested in these characters, which makes it even more powerful. The less is more approach in this film is one of my favorite parts about it.

Its crazy there's we live in an age when people don't remember rotary phones or switchboard operators. Ethan Hawke is a masterful creep, but yeah, these two steal the show. Their sibling relationship is the heart of it.

I was very impressed by young Mason Thames' incredible acting, for this being his first film. He emoted so much with just his eyes alone since his character Finney was so quiet and withdrawn from being bullied his whole young life. The only thing I worry about is that Mason seems shy and uncomfortable in real life as well. He fidgeted a lot in the interview so him being thrown into and getting so much attention and fame all of a sudden for his first movie role, I hope all the attention from paparazzi, teen girls and press doesn't scare him. Here I am again being the protective Mother like when I was watching the film and digging my nails into my arm chair because I was so concerned for Finney's well being...hahaha. I just know what Hollywood has done to some child actors and it isn't pretty, so I hope Mason can handle all the sudden attention and craze of being famous. Madeleine looks to have settled into her fame and is comfortable with it, thankfully. I just hope Mason can adjust as well.

I love how Mason keeps looking and smiling at Madeline 💕🤩, the fact they had more chemistry in real life two they hung out and ate together and played football together like from first sight they got along even in the interview these kids grow so fast and I absolutely love then so much they have an awesome great relationship in general and if they ever got together in the future it would literally warm my heart for me they seem like a sister and brother but in general they seem like shy to try to like sit closed or hold hands incase paparazzi did something stupid again as they do to other actors plus celebrities which is disgusting and very annoying shipping ppl without knowing the truth or just guessing things abt them which literally disgusts me alot but I really loved the movie and these kids hope we see you in the future someday they maybe will upload "The black phone 2" and its where its them as grown ups and having intense senses going on about finney imagining seeing his ghost frineds every where he goes it would be so cool good job ethan and everyone else!!💫💞

I'm so impressed..I was really crying because I liked it..For me when I first saw it's already my favourite.. I'm proud and happy that the actors made it really good and they made it super interesting,scary and I love it..cause like I've never seen such an interesting,best movie like this!!!I love this movie.. I'll never forget about it!!...Just look at the actors they make these movies very interesting and plus I like them very much cause look how talented they are I have a lot of good words about them and not because they make movies, because look at them all pretty,amazing and all..they are the best like making absolute fantastic movies!??!
