MADELEINES ISLAND "A year on Lindisfarne"

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne can be a tranquil setting for visitors and pilgrims alike, but what is it like to live and breathe on this, sometimes, blustery outcrop on the Northumbrian coast?
This film answers all these questions.
From the islanders themselves, the tourists, along with people who have moved to and from the island, this 90 min film delves into all aspects of peoples connections with Lindisfarne.
As well as dance, history, and a look at the state of fishing on the island, we talk to one member of the North East band "Lindisfarne", who shares his fond memories of filming and photo shoots on the island way back in the 1970's.
Easter is also celebrated when pilgrims cross the sands on their annual pilgrimage, making this island not only a beautiful place to visit, but a significant spiritual place as well. That's the wonder of Holy Island, Northumberland.
