She gave the example of how going for a run does not have an immediate reward. I work out six days a week and I find there is one reward I immediately feel. Before the work out I want to skip it, but after I feel good about myself because I have shown myself that I’m disciplined. Being able to tell yourself that “I did it” is a reward that should not be discounted.

One part of decluttering that seems to be a problem for many people is taking items to donation sites. When I notice a box filling up with items, I schedule something fun like meeting a friend near a donation center. Now I have a reason to go drop off the items and an immediate “ reward “.

I just found your channel ❤ it was Wonderful that you were referencing a book that’s being passed around my Family… I am in line to read it but now am going to get my own copy because of this video, you were So Motivating because I have been in a declutter funk. Some spaces are just So Nice to maintain but I have a few spaces that are not getting the proper attention…they have been on the to do list for far too long. The All or nothing mindset was trying to push back - so now I have decided to tackle those spaces in a 15 minute round robin game. I know with All these additional Helpful points you mentioned, I am Ready for the Fresh Start. 🎉🎉

What a beautiful video! A breath of fresh air! So inspiring! And from the thumbnail and the first shots of the video I hadn’t realised you are a mom, WOW! Respect for having such a decluttered, clean and beautiful home while having a toddler! I have a 6,5 months old baby and used to be a minimalist, but baby gear all over the place has driven me crazy, I try to get back on track with minimalism and clean surfaces but it’s so difficult with a baby. You showed me that it is possible, and will try me best for it! 🙂

Yes at an early age we were trained to put away or whatever we have used that put it back right after using. Then it becomes a habit. It doesnt have to be always be on point, but it wont get to a place where you are overwhelmed with stuff that isnt on its proper place once you try to practice such. One item or paper put in place is one less clutter. 😊

Hi! I just came across ur channel.. that’s a beautiful home of urs😍👌🏻 The tips r really very helpful🥰 I hv a question- hw do u keep ur home so well organised when there r other chores of the house like cleaning, cooking, family time & other activities etc.. ? Do u hv help or do u manage everything single handedly all by urself ? I often get a lot of stress/anxiety wen the cleaned spaces get messed again & struggle to keep everything clean every single time.. but I have been to certain houses where everything, every room looks so neat & clean & well organised & i feel bad thinking about why I can’t make or maintain a clean space🙈nd whenever I hear the word “guests” it makes me so nervous, anxious, frustrated.. any tips on these would really help🙏🏻plz take ur time to reply.. loved ur channel, thank u 🥰
@madelinehegedusАй бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. You're not alone in feeling this way. My home does get messy, full of toys or crumbs on the floor too. But decluttering and keeping less stuff in general has helped so much. It takes less time to organise, clean, tidy. Also I try to give everything a home, a place where it belongs (a cupboard, a drawer, a basket etc). We don't really have any help, it's me and my hubby (who helps a lot) 😊

VIDEO IDEA (AM GOING TO POST THIS TO EVERY MINIMALIST CHANNEL I FOLLOW, INTERESTED IN SEEING WHAT EVERY ONE’s ADVICE ON THIS IS) 😬 I’m looking for a decluttering/ downsizing tips video for someone who’s been adopting a minimalist lifestyle for a while but is still interested in downsizing even more. I’m mostly left with things that i do use and love now but would love to own less but am finding it hard to ask the right questions when going through my belongings now. Could you give us some advice on downsizing at this stage? Thank you 🙏
