This is so true! I completely understand. Chloe loses any character development by the next episode and is back to acting like an entitle little b****. Lila never stops lying despite it coming back to bite her multiple times. Adrien is just too oblivious to Marinette in general, other than as a friend. Everyone else is for the most part nice, but whenever they ask Marinette for help or a favor, she'll sacrifice her time/resources even if she doesn't have any left

I was intrigued by the art and wanted so bad to see where the story took me, so kept watching. Okay hear me out, this is the story as I have interpreted it. Marinette's parents die, and Hawk Moth uses her grief to Akumatize her. He gives her the power to make the people around her feel the same thing she does. (Maybe he called her sympathizer? Or maybe he just called her Madamoiselle Noir, as per the song, since people who are Akumatized seem to accept whatever oddball name Hawkmoth happens to give them and embrace their new personality/name/identity.) But, he locked her in a tower for some reason (Maybe he had some plan to unleash her on civilization at a later date?) but Adrien happens upon the tower. He looks up and sees her sad face, and asks more to himself than anyone else "who did this to you?" and rushes to the town to get her help. I know in the original song, "I think she's a living dead" refered to the man who found her calling her a vampire or smthn, but I think in the context of this AU, he meant it as she's a living dead in terms of her emotions, she is sad and scared and can't feel anything else, like she's dead. But, the people misunderstand him and take up their weapons to attack the tower, because witchery and magic was feared in that age, and was always destroyed at first notice. It doesn't help that when they got to the tower, they were overcome with this directionless fear, a product of the power given to Marinette by Hawk Moth. She was trying to use it to make people understand her, but since she was just giving them her fear, and no reason for it, they assumed it was because of her "witchly aura" or smthn like that and they set her hair on fire and she gets burned to death. sad end. I might edit this later. might not.
