Thank you. We actually camped at the Bog Springs campground, about a mile away from the lodge. It is a beautiful place to visit and see most of the Arizona specialty birds.

Have you upgraded the cabins? I was first there in 1967 and last in 2000. The rugs were getting threadbare and the rooms smelled musty.

We have never stayed in the lodge, so we do not know if they have been upgraded. Thank you for watching.

Well, here's the good and the bad about this place, IMPO. They do attract lots of very cool birds, which are great if you are a "birder". However, they do not pay a lot of attention to proving nice "natural" perches, which would allow for nice "natural" bird photos :( Most serious bird photographers such as myself, consider a photo of a bird on a feeder, or man made (non-natural) perch, pretty much useless :( The real bummer is, this would be "very easy" to accomplish. I have such setups at my own home. But apparently they just don't care :( If you are a photographer, and this bugs you too, I suggest that we start becoming vocal about this, to twist the arms of the people running such places. Oh and btw, having nice, natural perches has "no downsides" for the folks who don't care about them, or for the birds. I'll be there in May, and "I might" swing by here for an hour, but mostly just to chat with folks about where to find specific birds I haven't shot yet. (recon ;) This place has SO much potential. They just need to get it together.

And why is there a range multiplied human interference or what?

I believe it is more to do with a wide range of habitats all covering together, rather than human interference. Thank you for watching.
