Dear Soundarajan m.k. nice to hear from as for as song goes same here but I actually saw this movie during my college days when I had grown to be man. Everything so beautiful about this movie. The story was written by Ritwik Ghatak who was considered a genius in Bengali cinema. Bimal Roy has always been counted as one of the all time greats of Hindi Cinema. Shailendra who was a trend setting genius who showed to the world the most impressive songs could be composed from very simple day to day use simple words. Salil Chowdhary was also considered a genius as a music director. It was no surprise the film went on to become a raging hit breaking all box office records and won record 9 Filmfare awards in various categories. Sometimes I feel extremely proud of taking birth in an era when we had such an august company of so many geniuses in every walk of life. The teachers were not only teaching the subjects but teaching the very life we were living. GREAT BOON BY GODS FROM HEAVENS TO GIVEN US THIS LIFE IN SUCH GREAT TIMES. I congratulate all my contemporaries who lived those times and still living. May you all live to complete a century of sweet remembrances and great unforgettables. Memories go back to those good old upper primar school days(1958--1961) when our classmates used to dance in school festivals to the tunes from this film. Pranaams to Salilda for entertaining the folks of those days and endless successive generations. Salilda had also blessed Malayalam by providing music for the President's gold medal winning film " Chemmeen"
