Rajaraman Thiagarajan, Santa Clara, California, USA Dated: Sunday the November 7th, 2021 - timed:03,21 pm here. The Vocal Concert of Smt. N.J.Nandhini accompanied by Shri. B. Ananthakrishnan on Violin and by Shri. N.C. Bharadwaj on Mridhangam, besides by Shri. K.V. Gopalakrishnan on Kanjira was seen and heard by me over the streaming by KZbin as was telecast by the recording done at Madhuradwani by Arkay. I was happy for the same, and the sound recording by Arkay's arrangements were very good and enhanced the concert. The Artist had opted for difficult scripts and songs thereoff not usually sung by other artists. The accompanying specialists on the instruments added charm to the concert by their performances individually. One observation i would add here is that in most of the concerts the name of the person operating the thambura never gets mentioned which needs to be corrected by Madhuradhwani to start with and must also be followed by other sabhas. I believe the very backbone of the Carnatic concerts is the basic tuning for which Thambura is the mainstay, and hence the operators of the same must not be neglected
