Another good car is Nissan Magnite base model below 8 lac budget on road with 6 channel Airbags, 16" wheels, 205 mm ground clearance, TPMS and 4 Star safety rating etc. But the only problem is Nissan service centre availability otherwise it's a value for money option. I think you missed it

Wagon R একটা গাড়ি হলো ? Tata Tiago আর সব দিক থেকে অনেক বেশী গাড়ির মতো এবং অনেক শক্তপোক্ত । শুধু TATA র 3 cyllinder Petrol Engine টা মারুতি বা Hyundai এর মতো smooth হবে না । একটু খড়খড়ে Type এর হবে । আর টাটার গাড়ি বেশী ভারী হয় বলে এতে গাড়ি ছাড়ার সময় প্রথম গীয়ারে RPM টা একটু বেশী তুলতে হবে , কারণ এই ইন্জিনটা এইভাবে চালানোর জন্য‌ই তৈরী । মারুতির মতো Low RPM এ রেখে টাটার গাড়িতে গীয়ার change করতে চাইলে সেটা ভুল হবে । যদি ব্র্যান্ড হিসেবে মারুতিই আপনার পছন্দ হয় তাহলে SWIFT বা BALENO দেখুন । Wagon R নয় । এটা একটা Scientifically wrong , cheap class গাড়ি - যত‌ই বেশী বিক্রী হোক না কেন ।

Those in the market with 8 lakh budget should stretch their budget just a little more and go for the Honda Amaze. The base variant starts from 7.2 lakhs ex showroom. A wonderful car with huge practicality and value for money specially over cars like swift or baleno.

Honda amaze is an old generation car without modernisation of features. It comes no way near to Baleno in terms of features. Only thing it has, Honda's reliability... Baleno or i20 both have the same reliability too..

@shivathealmighty Agree that baleno or i20 is much more feature rich. But a proper feature rich baleno or i20 is well north of 8 lakhs ex showroom. A car like Amaze offers much more rear leg room and a proper decent sized boot which is very useful for highway runs. Honda's 1.2 litre engine is also very smooth and reliable. Baleno's safety rating is also very poor.

@subhasish1chttrj I drive a Baleno, meanwhile my wife drives her Honda Amaze. So it is easy for me to answer your question😊. Baleno and Honda Amaze have exactly the same length. Baleno has slightly bigger boot space than HA. Honda amaze is no doubt a good car but it is suitable for old uncle and aunties. My Baleno is new version Baleno 2023 zeta. In terms of safety, new Baleno has significantly improved. Now Baleno has much thicker metal sheet. Baleno has mastered the shock absorption technology hence it is very safe indeed. Honda Amaze has significant lag till 3rd gear whereas Baleno has better pick up. Finally Baleno has a killer look which HA do not have. Honda keeps its mark in luxury segment like City or Civic but Honda fails in competing with Suzuki in value for money segment for sure..

Baleno's boot space is 318 litres while Amaze's boot space is 420 litres. While it is true that Amaze's engine while being a highly reliable one is very sedated in nature. Baleno is a much better looker as well and feature rich also but to have all those features one's budget needs to be well above 8 lakhs. As far as safety is concerned sheet metal doesn't offer any protection however bad or good. Crumple zones again is a marketing term which Maruti uses effectively to hide the fact that they use little to no high strength steel or reinforced steel like Tata or Mahindra. But then again Baleno is a good product in its own right. Nothing against it.

@subhasish1chttrj Safety on Indian road is a myth and that too under 10 lakh car or even 20 lakh ones may not ensure survival if a proper crash occurs. Remember the incident of Kolkata lad died while riding a Ferrari. So I always keep it out of the equation. Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Honda all will score the same in a real crash in low end car segment. But yes you are right that Honda Amaze and Baleno both are more or less equally good for a comfortable ride. Boot space I still disagree since I find my Amaze pretty cramp for space. But yes, Amaze has a bright interior and its leathery finishing is definitely more eye catching than black fabric seats of Baleno. Oh another advantage of Amaze is it has better suspension than Baleno. Baleno struggles a bit on big hump and bumpy roads while Amaze does a better job there..

Esp should be a must feature considering safety...so i10 nios shouldn't be considered at all if I am buying a car at 8lk. Esp and abs should be the first priority while considering a car. These 2 features prevent max accident in high ways. My highway drive is 370km per week. And numerous critical situations arise, during driving and I can assure how these 2 features are helpful for a safe drive.. Followed by these 2 features, air bags and build quality to be considered next.

Most of the maruti car's ac quality not upto the mark, particularly when you are driving full loaded and under scorching sun. Takes much time to cool the cabin. Because the tonnage of ac is less in Maruti cars so that mileage is not compromised. Better not to go for after market rear AC vents for overall car safety and warranty. I have personal experience of many maruti car's ac from brezza, to wagon r, Baleno, Swift.. all lack good quality ac
