I was so surprised. I didn’t know she was mobile. I can’t believe she played with that toy if it didn’t even have cat nip in it. Maybe it smelled like a mouse. I’ve never seen her go after a live critter though. She was in attack mode & definitely killed whatever the toy was. I think she was proud of her Monday energy.

My Grandma had a flocked tree sometime in the mid-60’s. I thought it was amazeballs!! At the same time, my Dad had an aluminum tree with the color wheel rotating the 3 available colors. My Mom hated it!

I was also raised catholic and here’s the kicker: I remember the nuns telling us that it was the “only true religion,” and that we should convert everyone we knew. When I was seven I got in trouble for telling my friend Pam she had to accept Jesus and become catholic. I was asked to leave and her mom called my mom to complain. That’s when I learned that some people are Jewish! 😂

I did some team teaching with a few sociology professors, who were all from the South. When the institution of Religion came up every semester, they always differentiated between Catholics and Christians. They are NOT the same, in their eyes! I had never come across this in my 60 years of being a Catholic in Colorado!

I know that the flocked trees have been around since at least the early 80s. I had three older brothers who tended to get into mischief. They stole a flock tree from a tree lot, a half a mile from our house. They left a trail of flocking from the tree lot to our front door. My mom was pretty pissed.

Catholic here, your joke was hilarious and from early 2010's. But, wow, you brought out the silly in others. BTW the saints are prayed to for them to pray for us (intercede) to Jesus, to basically supersize our prayers to God. Catholic Mass covers the entire Bible over a 3 year period and start to finish is entirely Bible-centric.
