وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته Because ضمائر is ممنوع من الصرف a diptote/tanweenless noun The word حرف is mudhaf. The rules for the above are explained in this book

i think the مضاف doesn't take ال or tanween thats why حرف doesn't have tanween.
