Capstone starts in July for me too!! Yas! Almost there ❤ luckily I did night shifts during a semester a few months ago and I realized I can not do that and be a normal person so school nursing is where I’ll be for my first few years and then if God willing I’ll be in LDRP once my kids are older! Seeing your channel just solidified I was not alone in how I felt so thank you!! 🙏

I always love your vlogs! You are so the polar opposite of me but it may be the type of nursing I do. I literally get up, brush my teeth, get dressed grab my food and leave, but I also live 40 minutes from the hospital and I work in the OR, no one is caring or judging my appearance and we don’t get to wear our own scrubs also we have to be ready to go at 6:30 for huddle. I am with you on the food though, always extra with what I bring for lunch and break lol. I 100% feel the anxiety thing, I have a lot of anxiety and I no longer take meds for it or see a therapist. I just know how important it is to keep stress low because it will affect you physically. Most things in life are just not that serious and worth me feeling like crap because I’m stressing over it. I had a rough week last week, even though I’m doing great, some people in my room whether it be preceptors, scrubs, assistants or CRNAs just make me feel like I can do nothing right. I’m only 4 months in and killing it and it definitely takes the good days with a good team that lifts me to make me feel like I’m not a f*** up. It’s just overwhelming at least for me because I’m a perfectionist and OCD and trying to find the most effective way to do things and figure out my flow, a lot of nurses don’t even bother to know their team’s preferences or the doctor’s and just know some and rely on the card, I always am trying to anticipate and help out. Like I had a preceptor tell me “you don’t have to do that, they can do that” that’s a shit mentality and I will NEVER agree to that, help your people out!

Hey Madi! I hope all is well. I’m a few videos behind, and I’m only halfway through this one but I will finish it by tomorrow but I just wanted to comment before I forgot. Also, happy belated birthday sorry I didn’t get to get you a card this year. Hope you had an excellent birthday :-) so glad you’re still posting videos even though you’re very busy with school nursing and now back to L& D and finishing up your BSN. Had a quick question for you. I know you started wearing FIGS scrubs for school for nursing job I was wondering if you had any problems with sizing. A very dear friend of mine got me a FIGS gifti certificate so I could buy some scrubs for myself I just use them for around the house or to go to Physical Therapy but it took me two or three tries to get the sizing right which I found very frustrating and I was wondering what you thought about that waist tie I wish it was stronger and more durable rather than smooth and satin like. Keep up the great work keep posting you’re an amazing person don’t let the stress get to you take every day every moment one step at a time.
