I don't know Peter Frampton's song, but Richard Chamberlain's song is an okay song written by the team of Burt Bacharach & Hal David. The B-side of "Blue Guitar" was the first recorded version of "(They Long To Be) Close To You", which became a #1 hit for The Carpenters years later.
