We finished up a shapes I believe a couple weeks before spring break; they learned about sides and vertices as well, and we also did a shapes book too. I work in a first grade class. I always loved shapes in grade school, so I was excited for our class to learn about them. Love your vlogs!!

I loved this video because it talked more about what your teaching to your class. I just got hired as a 2nd grade teacher for next year and I’ve only ever taught pre-k and kinder so I’m watching every and all 2nd grade KZbinrs for classroom tips, management, curriculum pedagogy 🤣 thanks!

plant 🪴 mom here 🙋‍♀️ ! for sure my easiest plants have been my aloe plant and my croton plant!! i water them every week and a half or so, and just forget about them and they simply THRIVE! good luck to you! plants make me so happy and i hope you enjoy your journey as a plant mom! 😊

I’m terrible at remembering to water my plants so I love ones that can handle missing a week or two if needed! Snake plants, succulents, aloe Vera, cactus require very little care and are easy to keep! 🙂 also have always wanted a fiddle leaf tree but currently don’t have the room

In the UK, there's normally 2 classes per Year/Grade. We get half a day out of the classroom to plan with our Year group partners, which is very nice. I am a new teacher (second year), working with a very (25 years!) experienced teacher. The school expects our planning to be the same so it's very much a team effort and we share the planning (I take maths and science and religious education, for example, and she'll take the rest).

pothos are amazing and so easy to propagate I started last year with a tiny one leaf propogation and I have seven now and they grow great in just water which is awesome!!!!! wandering dudes are great too and so pretty when they flower :)

I find suculents pretty easy. I have no green thumb, but it is good if you have low time because you don't need to water them as much.

My first indoor plant was a philodendron plant. Easy care. Now I have a few others but I've been a plant mom only a few years. But just like you I started with very little knowledge. Hope you find what works for you. 🏜

Hope you are feeling better 🤗. I teach at a pretty small school. I also teach French as a second language and we have one teacher per grade level (gr1-5). I’m currently teaching a grade 4/5 combo. Having a team is definitely better, since you can learn from each other. However, I sometimes do not hate being by myself because, I can do things my own way ☺️

Hey - lovely vlog. We go back Monday after Easter break then a short term and in school until the end of may and then we have a week off then we are back until around the 19th July and that’s our summer holidays for 6/7 weeks!

Did you say you guys say you had 1 to 1 Ipads? For shapes, I love to go outside on a nice day and have students do a scavenger hunt for their shapes. They take a video of themselves with whatever shape they found and explain it. The kids love this activity! You could do it inside too. It's just a little busy with all of them all over the room searching and taking videos. Maybe do pairs instead.
