I wish they would release a new retro genesis that also plays the cartridges! I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. I love this ! I so with companies would go back to physical cartridges with booklets just so much awesome!

Retro-Bit did make the Super Retro Trio+ which plays Genesis carts, but I think you are saying like a legit new SEGA Genesis thats official... that would be awesome. Retro-Bit did tease a long while back a SEGA Nomad looking handheld that plays Genesis carts.... was really hoping theyd release it with SEGA approval and branding... maybe its still in the works.. Retro-Bit has worked with SEGA to release official retro controllers for the Genesis and Saturn... so who knows... maybe it could happen.

I love that these are a thing. I especially think it's great when really high value games get a new release so more people can experience them. The other awesome part is that these usually get licensed out to platforms like the Evercade too opening up new legal avenues to these classics.

Genesis games are great and all, but I really think SEGA needs to take their focus away from the Genesis ASAP! I can't tell you how many Sega Genesis Collection games I've bought in the last 20 years, probably at least like 10 for various consoles. I don't see why they don't start releasing Saturn, Sega CD, and Dreamcast game collections. SEGA is seriously starting to annoy their consumers with these damn Genesis games. It's time for them to move on because as a SEGA fan who sadly couldn't own a Saturn or SEGA CD back in the day it would be great for us to experience some games we have never had the opportunity to play!

I do like that retrobit is releasing new cartridge games for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive NES/Famicom and Super Nintendo/Super Famicom but most games that come out not really interested in these game personally but whoever is interesting in these game I am all for them getting these new games. I just wish they could find a game that was supposed to come out on a game console that was finished but never went to the console in any country those are history and need to be put on a cartridge but it still is if the game is interesting to each person.

I know this technically is off topic but I don't know where else to go... I have hakchi on a genesis mini and the Sega CD games run fast and with no audio, does anyone know how to fix it? I hadn't played it for a while and I know it was working fine and suddenly it's not

I wish I liked Valis as much as others seem to, I got my Switch copy of Vol. 1 and those games are really rudimentary. And I love platformers, but it's not a very satisfying game, hit detection and jumping physics don't feel that great. Syd of Valis always looked a bit snappier to me, but that'll be coming on Vol. 2. As many issues as Limited Run Games has in quality, communication, store practices, etc., I am always surprised by how high quality their retro cartridge release collector's editions are. They all come in this cool, standardized size big box in black with silver foil for logos and border designs( so they all match, but still have unique artwork). Even the box cardstock quality seems to be sturdier than their modern collector's editions boxes. Though the Iam8bit re-releases of Battletoads, Mega Man 2, Mega Man X, etc., are also really nice, especially the Mega Man X box, it's all embossed and has raised artwork. And the Retrobit ones usually come in that nice hardshell case, always a plus. But the Mega Man Wily Wars re-release might be my favorite next to Shantae GBC and Return of the Ninja GBC. Wily Wars came with lots of stuff, but my favorite was the acrylic box protector that was included. It has Mega Man artwork on it that goes over the game box art to overlap and compliment it, so nice. Kinda like the Hollow Knight Fangamer deluxe edition, but that's obviously a modern game.

nice packaging, nice manuals etc...doesn't look fun to play though but to be fair you showed only a few seconds of it. I didn't like how the character was to the right so much so you had little time to react to enemies popping in.
