Madman Paintball I absolutely love this gun and the way it shoots but I'm just worried that 550 dollars isn't worth it. When I can get a mini gs for 375. Like I know the etek5 is way better but that's almost 200 dollars. It's such a big decision for me and I just want to make sure I will be happy with what I buy. Today me and my brother rented both the etha and the axe at the local field and I loved them and played so much better using and electronic guns but I felt like there was more to be desired. But is it worth spending the extra money to get a gun that's not going to significantly change the way I play?

Just pulled the trigger on an etek5 boys was kinda hard to find but all black can’t go wrong any tips been years since I played 2009 more like when I stopped

Madman I just went to my local field and tested a Etek 5 and loved it. Wasn't able to test any type of LV, but would you suggest a new Etek 5 or a used LV is it really worth it to make that extra price jump. I will also be adding a pops asa if that helps consideration.

A lot of people bad mouth barrels that come with markers for being way too big of bore. All the fields I play at only allow fuel paint and their field paint is absolutely garbage. I don't think I've ever used anything under a 689 at my local fields. So really if they came to the 685 you'd be forced to buy a new barrel or just break paint constantly. And besides if you spending north of $500 on a gun you're probably going to buy a barrel kit, unless you know you're a toolbox what a crazy colored gun and insist on having a matching barrel

Mini gs, axe 2.0, or etek 5. My hands are 8 cm from bottom of palm to top. 6 1/2 cm from side to side and 15 cm bottom palm to tip of middle finger

They've updated the stock barrels now. They're absolutely fine. If you got your Etek 5 any time since 2016, you should be good. An "upgraded" barrel is nothing but unnecessary spending. Use that money to get a quality case of paint :) great paint will outshoot any barrel.

Where did you get ninja 50 4500 tank cover at I have been looking for one like 6months. You should try deadly wind fiber x 14 inch barrel with steal inserts what I got on my etek 5 and its sick

Scott Tenny I have a Dye Ultralite :) it works fantastic on it and the .684 bore solves the accuracy problem well and gives me a lot more efficiency. I didn't show it in the review because I tried to focus on what you get with the gun. About the tank cover, it was acquired in a field pro shop. But if I can help you out, ANS Gear sells a universal ninja tank cover that should be able to work with these tanks. Madman Paintball Hi, so I have been looking at this marker as my first one to get into supair. Stupid question but you say the Dye Ultralite .684 bore works - are barrels typically brand independent? I.e. PE barrels working on a DM marker etc?

@@300whiteout9 yeah these are good markers for sure. But after I installed the oled screen and eBay taxes the gun was up to 600+. So I sold it and bought a 2012 G6R that is nearly perfect for 650 instead. Also had a gtek 160r that while nice in the hands also had to go since I found a Dye M2 with 6k shots on her in like new condition for $650 as well. Sometimes the mid end guns are a good deal. But the point here is that if you do your research you can get more for your money. Or at least that's what I did.

i want my next marker to be a poppet but i can't decide whether to get the etek 5, the jt impulse, or the ego 11

If the Ego is darted the shot of each will be pretty much identical. Maybe a little different depending on how differently they are tuned. I'd take the Etek 5 simply because it's such a modular platform. You've got .50 cal kits, EMC kits, and now a third party is making pump kits for it.

Have you seen the emc in person? one of the reasons i want the etek 5 is because i want to be able to play speedball and then use the emc for woodsball when I need attachments. Also if you end up getting it sooner than later you should do some third person game play footage. it would be cool to see what it looks like on the feild

Caine Bell It's just a decibel meter, there are hundreds of apps that do the same thing.

What barrel do you suggest for an upgrade for better percision?

I was wrong back then. Experimental evidence has shown that barrel bore size has minimal impact on accuracy. It does influence the acceleration profile of the ball though.

***** you can try Planet Eclipse's FR back with inserts (it'll fit your etek 5 tip which is good), and of the Deadly Wind Barrels, or my personal favorite, a Dye Ultralite.
