I'm the guy in the video. I haven't worked at Domino's since 2012 but remembered I posted this quite awhile ago. This video was made on the fly. There wasn't really any preparation for it. There wasn't really a script. It was to show another store whose drivers weren't making any money how to do a better job. The customer was my grandma. The delivery was set up for demonstration. There was an edit before making the pizza so I'm sure I washed my hands. No gloves were necessary since the oven was 500 degrees and killed any germs. I was the head driver for quite awhile and became a manager. I absolutely hated it and after like 11 months I basically asked to go back to being a driver. The owner told me no and to go home so I never came back. Driving was fun but being a manager was terrible for me.

Why did you hate being manager? Was it too monotonous? I love being a driver bc I’m always out and about. Managers are always making pizzas and never out of the store. I’d like to move up but not to that.

Pizza hut and other places I have worked at, you only have to fold box's in between deliveries. At most ,you have to do about 10 min of prep and wash a couple pans before you leave. Only 1 place I worked at they had to answer phones.

My store stops carryouts at 12 and deliveries at 130. I don't like customers ordering after 1, as most the ingredients are already put away and the makeline usually being cleaned.

Dress code failures? Don't know all your local streets, (needed a map)? How about credit card payments, (no machine)? Hand-washing, (ovens should be at 450 degrees, and I've seen cooks and managers go from the toilet to the make-line without washing up)? Not difficult to become a manager, (just parrot "hustle," "make that drop," spew out that too-lengthy telephone greeting, etc.); it's easy; a new manager, every year-or-two. A real "delivery expert" lasts more than a few years, (not a few weeks, like most delivery drivers), and sees these managers come-and-go. If drivers don't always buckle-up or drive safe, fire these idiots, (better yet, don't hire them)! I've known good delivery people who became managers then went back to deliveries, as they didn't care for countless complaints about bad orders, incompetent workers, and the owner's nagging.

corporate bull chit. ! . what they DONT tell you that the delivery charge doesnt go to the driver at ALL ! He gets paid only a dollar , an depends on the customer to give a tip so to pay for gas an etc ,also they pay the driver LESS than min wage while on the street so he only making $6.15 when he is giving you the pizza , when they get their paycheck its $20 short that Dominos profits off them !

Definitely a dated video haha, noticed a lot of errors as well but those very well may be from. Change of policy since this video was made. And anyone complaining about the delivery time, LISTEN TO THE TIME YOUR TOLD. 30-35 minutes means 30-35 MINUTES. We do this for a living everyday, we have a pretty dead on estimate time, if we're busy and tell you 40-50 minutes don't expect your order to be there in the normal 30 minute goal. The best tip? well us drivers are also driving with our regular car insurance when you needa have commercial insurance if you get into a wreck which domino's don't tell you at all and could give a shit less and sure not gonna cover their people.. so if we get into a wreck driving for them then we are screwed so not them.. I'll be the first to say that domino's don't care for their people at all.. it's all about money these days.

Thank you for your candor. I was never aware that the driver needed commercial insurance. In my youth I drove for a few pizza and sub shops but they provided the vehicle. Hopefully your comment will make delivery drivers who watch this video ask that question of their employer.
