Did you even see the LSU or Auburn game because his highlights from that game are right in this video: all I see is a running that ran up the middle, ran around, and ran head up against a LSU def that didn't knock him back one time. And he had a great game: 18car for 54yrds + 6rec for 61yrds = 115 total yards with a TD against the best SEC def that year. Auburn game: 4rec for 39yrds + 13car for 49 yards = 88 yards with 2td. That equals 203 yards and 3td against two top sec teams alone. NOT BAD!

Football sure is a game of inches. If LaMichael had scored at 6:43 instead of stepping out of bounds he wouldnt have gotten hurt on the next play and missed two and a quarter games which could have resulted in a heisman trophy. So sad. Hope he comes back for another season.

I hear the niners really like this guy. I hope they get him I thought he was just a speedster from from watching his highlights it looks like he gets a lot of yards after contact and does a lot of tough running. and his line isnt opening huge holes, he's squeezing through tiny holes and breaking tackles.

@hunterman823 No, Jacquizz if anything would be the reason they don't need Lamichael, though he looks to be better if they drafted him it would basically tell the team they wasted that pick on Rogers last year. If the Chargers have the chance to get him in the 2nd round i want his jersey in every color
@hunterman82312 жыл бұрын
@burton2156 Uh no it wouldn't. The Falcons have a new Offensive Coordinator, and the last one(now HC of the Jags) never used the screen game(perfect for a back like Quizz), and he gave Michael Turner the workload. The Falcons backup RBs hardly got any carries a game unless we were destroying the other team. Most teams split carries between multiple running backs as it confuses the D. Take the Saints. They use about 3-4 different RBs a game. The Panthers also do this well, and having Cam helps.

I can not wait to see Oregan play this year with a new coach, It is going to be a very weird season, But I think the ducks will do good like they have been for the past season.
@bdph200812 жыл бұрын
John Clayton didn't like this pick i love it for not just now but the future, jacobs and gore don't have alot of mileage left, and not just the running, his receiving skills are damn good, the main problems for the niners offense these last 10 yrs they have been to predictable with James and Hunter, and the new Wr from Illinois he's pretty good, well see how he will develop in the NFL but they can finally have some unpredictability and more big plays. this makes this life long Niner fan happy

the 49ers have been looking at a lot of running backs. frank gore is getting old and slowing down, same with brandon jacobs so that leaves just kendall hunter as running backs on the team that are decent and he doesnt look like an all purpose back he's more of a change of pace kind of guy.

looks fast and tough, but sometimes it's hard to tell how much of that is him and how much is those HUGE holes the OL is opening, and how bad college tackling can be. We'll see how he fares against the NFL's best. Plus I'm always hesitant to trust a college highlight reel bc obv they're only gonna show the good plays. I hope he kills it though, GO NINERS!
@ybatman12 жыл бұрын
he looks so small and skinny. Not like Frank Gore. But he is fast and slips thru defenses like knife on butter. This kid is good. We are good on RB AND WR. If they stack the line we got receivers to make plays, if they go for the receivers, we got RBs that will make them pay.
@DawgcityClev12 жыл бұрын
He's only going to succeed on a team with a dominant back already. He can't be an NFL Franchise back himself. Change up back that could damage tired teams in the 2nd half of games.
@jazon34512 жыл бұрын
Speculated that the Cowboys will draft him and while I'm a huge Cowboys fan there's really no need for more RB's then we already have. I hope a team in need gets him because he's super reliable.

@Minion20Rocks12 жыл бұрын
Mcfadden had an insane year last year until he got injured, Ingram was only a rookie who played for the saints who run a pass first offense and have two other good running backs like ivory and thomas, and like bigmoney4635 said spiller was from the acc. James is too small and will not be as productive in the nfl as richardson, atleast not for long because he is going to get injured fast.
@bigmoney463512 жыл бұрын
spiller played for clemson of the acc not SEC!!! get your facts straight before you start a sports argument with me. im not jumping on any bandwagons here im just saying that richardson is a better prospect as an nfl running back than james. james played in a gimmick spread offense at oregon against sub par defenses in the pac 12. take note that 8 of the top 10 defenses in the nation last year were from the sec. southeastern football is just better. i think 6 straight bcs championships says it
@LordBillGates12 жыл бұрын
A 1000 season is not insane, its average (about 60yrds a game). And your using the the old "I went to highschool with him, so his good argument". I if had a nickel for every highschool and college player that I had class with that went on to be a productive NFL I wouldn't be worrying about this economy. Then you end it with the old "your Butthurt" statement. Lets just base Trent on past facts: top SEC RB like McFadden, Ingram, and Spiller havent lived up to their hype.
@LordBillGates12 жыл бұрын
Wow, he was a dropped in the endzone for a safety becuase his line feel apart on ONE play, LOL...yep that's all his fault. And LaMichael had more yards the whole season then Trent while doing it with fewer carries. And don't forget he was the rushing in 2010. And I don't care about Trent's bench press and 40, do you know how many RB's have had those same skills and still didn't do anything in the NFL? Your just fallinf for ESPN hype.
@bigmoney463512 жыл бұрын
yea well james cannot produce anything against an sec defense. i think that is obvious. and the reason he puts up such big numbers is because oregon runs up the score on weak opponent and keep the starters out there. trent richardson was productive against everyone, even tho teams were stacking the box against him. and notice his size. james will not be able to take the hits in the nfl like t. rich
@LordBillGates12 жыл бұрын
Dude your falling for every SEC RB Propaganda ESPN puts out every year, ex: Darren M.F., Mark I.. Trent R. is another is bs SEC RB who will get over paid top $ just for a 800-1000 yards season (which is about around 60 yards a game). Do you know how many rb can do that for a fraction of the price? His highlights aren't even that sick, just a bunch of 20 yard runs. However, LMJ takes it 80 yards to the house every play. And Trent R. is coming out of knee surgery just like Mark I and Darren M
@hunterman82312 жыл бұрын
@burton2156 The Falcons never split carries between backs, so Turner has gotten worn out thanks to the last OC who couldn't even utilize Quizz in the screen game. Splitting carries between Quizz, and another RB would be a great idea for any offensive mind. Turner has declined. He only had one 100+yd game in the last 7 games of the season(we played horrendous defenses too), and that was against the Bucs, who had already given up on the season.
@Kryptonyte5312 жыл бұрын
To think what would have happened if LeGarrette Blount hadn't thrown that punch, Lamichael may have never gotten an opportunity to show the world just how special of a player he is. These past three years have been nothing short of spectacular for the Oregon Ducks football team and for the fans. LaMike was a huge part of that. Thanks for the memories Lamichael James, you will always be remembered as one of the greatest to ever put on a Ducks Jersey. Go Ducks.
@bigmoney463512 жыл бұрын
what about when he was droppeed in the endzone for a safety by auburn? look, i love lamichael james i think he is a great football player but saying he is better than trent richardson is absurd. richardson rarely fumbles, bench presses nearly 500 lbs, runs 4.45, is an excellent pass protector. all james really has is speed and elusiveness.
