I appreciate how they handled the story here they gave us these "Charms" so we can take different routes and "Endings" instead of the usual making choices leading to multiple Endings then being forced to start all over again if you want a different one

Hey, sorry for the copy+paste of another commentary I left in the video, I just saw your official profile here and wanted to tell my little story to show appreciation for your amazing work as developers! Wow, I left the video going while I took a nap and woke up the kicking ball in your room part. I watched just out of curiosity and the subject just caught my attention for I'm living something similar. Me and my BFF have not talked since december. Our friendship had just completed 10 years and I did something out of desperation for my financial struggles... that to some people may sound like something super silly to be so angry over and guess that's how I've been reacting about it as well... Since I've always been the one who apologized for everything and tried to make ammends even when I didnt think I was in the wrong and found absurd ways to donate myself to be as helpful as possible, I kind thought I could expect the same. This "hey, friendship over everything" sort of attitude... but as I found out through therapy, a good part of how I've been handling my relationships was basically gaslightining myself to not feel sad/angry/frustrated and so on. I didnt really forgive, I just burried everything because I was afraid of abandonment. And that brewed over some dangerous stuff in here. So when the fight happen, again, I didnt fight, I just listened, as I've always did. But the difference is that this time I allowed myself to be angry and upset and decided I didnt wanted to apologize and that I was actually upset that the same "forgiveness" was not granted to me in order to "move on" with the relationship like always did. It made me bitter, I felt unappreciated and like my effort wasnt being reciprocated. Until I realized I had lost other relationships before doing the same thing... giving too much, expecting too much. Without realizing people have different limits, boundaries, sensitivies, beliefs and morals... Maybe the whole thing seemed silly to me, but to them was a way bigger betrayal of trust than I would be able to understand. And the whole missing them everyday as my person that's always been there is not something "being right" is worth over. Grandma is right here. It doesnt really matter who is right and who said what, it matters if we truly meant it. I guess deep down I knew it, but after all this time I've been afraid to try to apologize and ask to be part of their life again cuz... again... I stumble in this creepling fear of rejection. So it seems better suffering for not knowing than the possibility of they saying they just dont want to be friends anymore. Sorry for the rant and I hope someone can empathize or learn with my experience. But I also thought it was something important to note because people dont seem to value games as an therapeutic experience as much as they should. Little moments of clarity like that can be really precious when they reach the right person or someone in need of a kind word. Thanks, Beacon Pines and Morph for this little moment.💚

Aww I felt Beck's pain! It is difficult moving a lot as a child, especially if you're an only child. I always have tried to look at the ways that it positively influenced my character, which is definitely a good way to go about it. But, I'm learning now in my 40's that you also must confront the not so good sides in order to heal and grow. As usual Morph, thank you for your entertaining and heartfelt videos and streams. I'm so glad I found your channel. Bear hugs!

Same! Also moved a lot as a kid and an only child. I think part of the difficulty for me is never feeling like I truly belong. Probably doesn’t help that my parents were neglectful. I feel like my whole life, I’ve been on my own.

1:09:08 Melittology is the study of bees. Which is fitting, remember when Luka found the abandoned bee hive? Which could mean detrimental environmental changes due to whatever is going on with the green mist and liquid. - But then Kado says that 70% of bee species make their homes in underground tunnels. Feel like that’s some potentially nice foreshadowing - ooor it’s nothing - lol I’ll keep watching to find out

It's a pretty well-known fact (at least here, because I live out in the country) that the type of fertilizer usually used (they use manure here, tho) is most likely a big part of why the bees are dying..

I'm so curious about Heiress's name. Is it meant to inform on Sharper's character? Did he care so little for his daughter he didn't even bother to give her a proper name? Or was it one of those things where the dev team couldn't think of a name they liked, so they just used a placeholder and eventually they got so used to it the placeholder just became the name?

I stupidly didn't see the other videos in the sidebar and thought this WAS the whole game and after over a year of waiting for it, it was only 3 hours long total, which kinda pissed me off lol so glad to be wrong. This is a fun journey so far. Really pretty town and locations and this whole braching narrative idea is SOOOO cool. Throughout this whole vid the plot point that got my attention the most was Luka noticing that it's cold in the town despite being the start of summer and the place still LOOKING bright and green, I kept wondering what was the deal with that. Luka and Rolo seemed like ehhh very basic kid characters to me at the start but they really grew on me. Always liked Beck tho, her personality really shone, what a cool tomboy science girl. I really love this sense of dread and threat of that creepy stuff at the Valentine factory place on top of a warm and cozy environment with cute furry characters. It's a unique mix. And I sure did not expect that sudden..."cold" ending. But it was a great scene to end off on tho. I can't wait to watch Part 2, seriously!

The mechanic of story branches and going back to change choices is the exact same as the one in the Zero Escape series, another narrative game that's absolutely mind-blowing and uses the mechanic to its full potential! (it's way more mature though, one of my favorite games, especially the second installment) It's an incredible way of telling/experiencing a story, everytime you use up a branch you learn something new that helps in other branches until you unlock the final true ending, wish there were more games like this!

I was a kid from a military family growing up and yep, moved all the time. I definitely relate to the little wolf girl beck, you definitely lose the desire to make friends because you know you're just going to lose them just when you start feeling close. i'm in my 30s now but still have trouble making friends because i was unintentionally trained as a kid to keep everyone at arm's length so that it doesnt hurt as bad when you leave again edit:: managed to keep it together through most of this.. but the "buy him a corndog" conversation was so damn sweet. Waterworks started LOL

I got grounded full a full year once for bad grades in 8thgrade, and didn't get any help to actually change the bad grades... it oddly saved my life. Not because I found god or anything during that year in grounding. But I got time to know my brain, I got to know depression and anxiety wasn't a normal thing. Found out much later that the mental illness I have are passed down genetically from my mothers side. I'm still trying to break the bad habits I formed in that year of keeping myself company and just letting myself get lost in my imagination.... I don't think I'd wish that form of isolation on anyone. I've never gotten over my hatred for white colored walls. So boring and mundane.

2:48:30 IDK who this nature-attuned character is, but this little guy has the workings of an ecologist or entomologist, and I love that for him. If you ever find a place with no insects, run. Even in the winter I will still find grounded flies and tiny insects in the crevices of urban habitats. Buildings are always an easy way to sight things as they stand out against the drab, monotonous colors. I like that this character has taken notice of something being wrong in that way. Fertilizer in reality is also very bad for the environment, so overall I’m very interested in this story and where its going. Such a cool game. Might need to play it myself if ever I find the time.

I ended up adopting this polite but detached sort of way with people as a result and I'm finding it difficult now, as an adult being in one place, to know how to put down roots.
