Madness Project Nexus: The Rapper and The Ripper

Madness has returned!
...and NEM is outdated again, meaning I can't play anymore. Guess it's time to sit around ad wait again.
After playing around with the new features, instead of starting a new imprint, I instead tried to do a few cosplay builds. Next time, I'll definitely have to play as the Noob to make sure I'm not locked out of a skill tree, but with this system, I can play with all sorts of fun customizations and loadouts! Leave some suggestions for who I should make next. I already have plans for making one for a certain laser katana wielding assassin.

I have a build to suggest: GlobeX Engineer from Strike Force Heroes. Specifically the third part despite us never fighting them head on. Helmet: N51 Commando helmet Goggles: N51 Recon goggles, red glow Ear: Earpiece, no antenna Outfit: Technician overcoat. Keep the backpack Vest: N51 Recon vest Belt: Tool Belt Gloves: Full Gloves Just use the goth colours for the cosplay. And for the weapons: • AN-47 w/ N-FAL Stock and V.55 Standard (not suppressed) barrel • Desert Eagle Bam. That's all.

First person mode is probably the best addition to NEM in my opinion, You actually get to "experience" living in nevada

if they found a way to make the character's head(and accessories for the head) invisible in first person I think it would end up looking a lot better. hopefully that is an actual possibility and not just something they wished they could've done but the code won't allow for.

i love it how you can easily abuse the acid blaster with dual wielding for any enemy (including the final boss) and the funny thing is the acid goes through armor

I actually found a way to fix the audio glitching out. You just have to turn first person mode off and then on again.

I'm actually kind of surprised with the first person angle. (it was never meant to be first-person but it somehow looks really good in first-person more then third-person, if we exclude the execution animations then the whole movement isn't too bad.)

Man, long time I haven’t played project nexus 2, the amount of new advantageous features in this game that I’ve mostly missed, I was genuinely flabbergasted over the fact they added the FPS update, this is going to be extreme entertainment when I play it.

Most of the new features are actually added in with mods, though if I've heard correctly, the devs are working directly with the modders to maybe implement some of the features, or at least make modding a bit more feasible.

Wait so has NEM started working again, only to stop working again? I've been trying to get it to work for a while, and it's just pretzeling my brain as I try to get it to work.

It currently doesn't work because it isn't up to date to the current version of MPN. The maker needs to update it first, and it will probably take some time since he'll probably wait for the big update that was announced.

It was functional for like two weeks before the most recent beta merge update came out. We're waiting again for the next update which is going to give modders the ability to upload their own textures and images to the game.

I've mentioned it a few times here in the comments, but for Sundowner, a lot of his armor is specifically added with NEM, mainly his segmented body armor and the boards on his back to mimic his shields. You'll have to mod the game to make them look perfect.

I'll definitely be messing with First Person mode a little bit more for a skit or two. Bringing up vampires though, I'm curious what that balcony in front of the club will look like in first person when 8 vampires charge at you.

It's part of the Not Enough Madness mod. It's also how I'm able to use the free camera to look wherever I want and get close up shots. It's kinda buggy right now, but I have a tutorial for how to install it on my channel.

Check the bottom of your main menu to see if it says NEM is installed, otherwise, make sure you properly unzip the mod folder before you start trying to move files. If the game doesn't launch anymore, reverify the files on steam and try again.
