As a kid in northern England we had grey sky, grey concrete and Madness added the much needed zing. England is Madness Madness is England. Definitely working class music. From the first sound we thought’Yes this is us’ This sound , this feel , this melodic chorus line is so fitting to our existence. They touched a nerve and it stuck . So lucky to be initiated with that. Now we’re older and perhaps not as poor or rough, but that sound brings joy today and can take you back . Young bunch of lads were actually musical geniuses. Nuff said .

@@Gamefeedvids It's your opinion...!
@Gamefeedvids4 жыл бұрын
@@ricardoabreu69 No, its not. This isn't the normal bass player, no oinbion what so ever. Having sung and played in a band there is no member more important than the next with the exception of the lead singer in big bands. For example, you will never replace Suggs in Madness due to his voice. It may not be the best but it is what makes madness. If he goes the band collapses. If Bedders isnt there (the base player) the band goes on. Your opinion is flawed. Doesn't make you right. In this band the pianist is extremely important as he is the true musician. Carl used to do trumpet, he left, the band goes on. Suggs leaves, the band is finished. Facts.

Yep and unlike other instruments a voice naturally gets worse, so it is twice as important to take care of it. Of course House of Fun and Our House are pretty tough songs to sing with their endless string of lyrics.

From that golden era when you had to go out of your way to hear music, listen to the Sunday night chart show, search through record shops for singles and actually go to the Box Office to get tickets.
