We knew he would be dead within 48 hours. I don't have to tell you the pain I was in. I think, in some ways, that was the day I stopped being an aspiring artist and just started being an artist. I have not heard the original or anything by Muse, but I love this. Sounds to my ears a bit like the New Zealand duo from the 1980s/90s, the Tall Dwarfs. Sadly the Tall Dwarfs had to stop recording when half the group, Chris Knox suffered from a stroke. If anyone cares there is a wonderful new Tall Dwarfs 4 LP compilation out on Merge records called: Unravelled: 1981-2002. And loads of great songs available for a free listen on youtube.
