I think there is a different combo that ends on dessert as well.

Indeed. I watched a version that ends in dessert some days ago so I'll probably update to that version anytime soon.

Can you make one that plays around nib?

I don't think so... Nib is a really really strong card against combo decks like this one so i think i could barely recover from that.
