Jeff l don't think it was the album it was the media and the scandal about the sex book she released. Kinda like Britney's Blackout album (one of her best) however because of the "breakdown" she had people didn't get to hear the album (dang Media 😡)

This should be included for a 30tb anniversary edition as long with other tracks. I'm always surprised that Erotica is controversial among fans. I've bee a fan since I was a kid but it's only in my teens that I researched her discography and erotica is among my favourite albums. One of her best eras, so controversial. Erotica era was Madonna's best in my humble opinion. She spoke openly and unapologetically about so many taboo subjects. Her visuals were daring, bold and in your face, she was scrutinized relentlessly and stood like a champ. The release of the movie, Body of Evidence, Album Erotica and the book, Sex catapulted her into new heights. I was about 14 and I loved every bit of it and continue to, to this day.
