Madonna was way iconic at this point. She emerged in the 80's but her status as legend and icon was already present by the early 90's. She has given some of the best VMA performances, and has some of the most iconic music videos ever, you when, when music videos were an art form. Madonna pushed boundaries, buttons, made it ok for women to embrace their sexuality.

Did you guys notice what they said the last? “Music stations always play the same song, we’re bored with the concept of right and wrong! Trip the station, change the channel!” Not only was the performance iconic but the message was even more iconic! It was a clear criticism for MTV and US radio stations when the playlists were getting more and more narrow and only one certain kind of music and artists were getting airplay. Lourdes, Madonna's daughter is one of the flower girls. The picture quality was great when this came out because TVs and computers were designed for lower pixels. It looks bad today because TVs and computers required more pixels for display. You need to listen to Madonna's greatest hits. Her songs are epic.
