BTW. That young boy dancing in front while she is DJ'ng is her son, Rocco, whom she had with her ex-husband director Guy Ritchie. On her latest tour her second adopted child, Mercy, plays the piano during Oh Father and one of her youngest twins Stella and/or Esther dances and I saw her first child, Lola, joined her and her oldest adopted child, David, joined her onstage. She saved those 4 children's lives. They are all incredibly gifted.

I've seen her live on every tour since 87, recently watched her new tour in London. NOBODY comes close to this woman, especially her tours that are insane.

I must express some doubts regarding the claim you've made. While I'm not directly questioning your truthfulness, my own experiences, having attended every Madonna tour since the Blonde Ambition era, give me a unique insight that challenges the comparison you're making between those iconic shows and more recent ones like Celebration, Sticky & Sweet, Confessions, and MDNA. The landscape of live music has undergone such a significant transformation over the years that it's hard to see today's concerts as a continuation of what was happening in the late '80s and early '90s. The idea that a recent tour could match or even surpass the magic and impact of those earlier performances seems quite far-fetched to me. Remembering the days when fans would hold up lighters, creating a sea of fire in a bid to catch Madonna's attention, paints a vivid contrast to the rather passive engagement of today's audiences. This shift alone makes it hard to believe that the newer tours could offer an experience equivalent to, let alone better than, the legendary shows of the past. Hearing someone argue that they do feels not only surprising but somewhat out of sync with the experiences of those who have witnessed the evolution of these events firsthand.

@@MrJ0NE5 What are you talking about? I'm in my late 40s, I watched Who's That Girl in Leeds as a kid with my auntie. BA Tour in London, the first night of the Girlie Show in London, Drowned World in London and Barcelona, Reinvention, Confessions, Sticky and Sweet in London. MDNA in London and France, MadameX at the Palladium and Celebration twice at the O2. Don't try and doscredit me because you have a different opinion. Her earlier tours are spectacular, her latest tours are spectacular. Times change, how concerts are staged and watched has changed.

@@Vertigotheatre1Oh, and about the Girlie Show in London-where did she stay then? You'd totally remember if you were actually there at the time, right? 500+ of us waited hours for her to show up at the hotel! It was the lead story on all the British news channels that day. Any guesses?

There is a reason why she is why she’s the queen of pop 👑 Seen her many times on tour, and truly no one can touch her. You should definitely react to more Madonna. Perhaps react to the Vogue music video and like a prayer too. Definitely among some the best songs ever made! And you’ll get a sense of how ahead of her time she was by pushing boundaries and laying the foundation for many of todays female artists

Madonna is a professional dancer that trains like an athlete and she always has a great rapport with her dancers, letting them shine throughout the show. The young dancer was her son Rocco. Madonna's concerts are legendary! She set the standard/template for the "Pop spectacle" with her landmark Blond Ambition Tour in 1990.

Madonna is the greatest female PERFORMER of all time. There might be better singers than her, but as a performer. Nobody comes close to her level of versatility on stage. 👑
@s.tupper415911 ай бұрын
I agree with your assessment of her performing ability, but one doesn't become the bestselling female singer of all time -- by far -- not having an amazing voice that is incredibly commercially appealing. Madonna may not soar like Whitney, Celine or Mariah, but the relatability of her emotive vocals far exceeds theirs.

I seen Madonna live 11 times throughout the past decades. Saw this tour in Amsterdam. Also went to see her current tour last December. My first Madonna concert was back in 1990 when I was 10 years old. Been a fan since the mid 80's. Her shows are top notch! So energetic and fun. It's like a party. I love her for a lot of things. Growing up gay was made a little more bearable thanks to Madonna, who was one of the few mainstream artists who openly embraced the LGBTQ community since the beginning of her career. It's baffling that the media STILL gives her hard time today, especially for her age and her "behaviour". It's also a pity that today's generation doesn't appreciate her or doesn't really know her work and for being the blue-print of any female artist that followed. All the media backlash she had to endure throughout her 40 years career for being "controversial" paved the way for many female artists today and from the past two decades. She's the number one female artist with over 400 million records sold. Great reaction, Nick! I had no idea you had another reaction channel devoted to music. I watch all your Friends reactions and love it.

I agree with you. Great reaction. I will add that her earlier music videos are on the level of art, are full of storytelling and amazing dancing by her, and that goes for the videos to songs directed by Mary Lambert, John Babtiste Mondindo (I hope I'm not butchering the name there) and David Fincher. That said, her live performances are really where it's at. You are only just beginning a journey. You got to see the 1984 Live MTV awards performance of Like a Virgin, the entire 1985 Live Aid set performance, the Virgin Tour (of course) and the 1993 the Girlie Show Down Under performance of Rain with Nikki and Donna, her long time back up singers/dancers.

Hey Nick, I've seen several of her tours and they were amazing. Nobody was putting on concerts like this until Madonna started touring. The Blonde Ambition Tour kicked off the big performance tours. Even with as much as it costs to put thee tours on she still was named the highest grossing tours for about 5 different years. I have every tour on digital, but have an issue with the editing on some of them. It's cut so quickly that it gets damn annoying. Some of them should have Epilepsy warnings on them. I agree with the comment on Gang Bang. It's so freaking cool. And also the opening to the Confessions tour. Future Lovers/I Feel Love (A Donna Summer song) it infectious as all get out. I've really never seen a bad performance. She's been getting a lot of heat since she's been leaving fans hanging for up to three hours. This started with the Rebel Heart Tour. Really no valid explanation. She needs to chill out. After she fell off a horse and broke 9 bones. And had to have several surgeries she should just take a hint from Cher and put on Cirque Du Madonna. Let the dancers put on the show. She's 65. She's gonna end up hurting herself again. But I guess that's the downside of being a perfectionist.
