Great reaction, if you want to watch another uncensored video by Madonna; you should watch her video for the song “ American Life “ which is uncensored not because of sexual content ( it is not a sexual song) it is a song and video that deal with serious political issues and the video had to be censored of the graphic violent war images. Now, I jam to the music and I enjoy watching you have a good time for this particular video, you need to keep your eyes open at all times so you won’t miss a thing and get the entire message. Another wonderful reaction! The controversy was that when this video came out back in 1992 ( 32 years ago!) Madonna was arguable one of the most famous women in the world. This video was the first single from her album “Erotica”. She also released a coffee table book titled “Sex”. This is also during the time that Madonna founded the multi-media “Maverick Entertainment group” as part of her contract with Warner Brothers. It was the largest and most lucrative contract ever signed by a female artist at the timeI and also gave have her complete artistic control over the signing of other recording artists like Alanis Morissette and the group “Prodigy” as well as control over movies and publication of books. Her “Sex” book sold 150,000 copies on the first day and spent 3 weeks at the top of The New York Times best seller list. It went on to sell 1.5 million copies. (I Googled this to make sure I had it correct). Also, contrary to public perception, this book and video dealt only with sexual fantasies that Madonna wanted to explore and visually present. It didn’t mean she participated in anything like it and she used to joke with interviewers that people were disappointed to learn she didn’t actually have a sex dungeon. She even said she would rather read a good book over having sex sometimes. Just another facet of this woman’s incredible artistry and talent!
