How many people remember Like A Prayer ? This fabulous masterpiece from Madonna first came out in 1989 as we were all about to start our young lives as First Year College Freshers in Delhi University . This brings back so many memories good as well as extremely bad too . But anyway you gotta express yourself in this mean world of mean people everywhere . We will have to let go and move on forward with our lives if we want to achieve success in our individual lives in this extremely mean world of extremely mean people everywhere .

This is my favorite music video of all time, hands down. I was around 4 years old when this video aired, and it's stuck with me all these years. Every single shot is framed perfectly. The colors, the lighting, the shadows, the variation between each verse and chorus. The storytelling is wonderfully executed. The framing of each scene plays a role, and the editing is top tier. The small details play a large part: each color scheme and outfit, the second verse with her in shadow behind the screen, the musicians inside a glass display, even down to the bowl of milk. The chorus with the giant staircase, the two workers on each side pulling levers to turn the gears, with the geyser fog machines in the background, and Madonna in a suit + monocle: This is a legendary moment. Really, I can't give this music video enough praise. This album and this video, along with Like A Prayer, and the subsequent controversy are what boosted Madonna even further into the stratosphere to become one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

I was 16 when this came out and I feel the same way about it now that I did then. It's fn amazing. I agree w you...the lighting, colors, her diff styles even the black cat. Madonna and David Fincher together is 🔥! Oh and I almost forgot...that hair! Esp the quick back shot at 3:42 where she pours the milk down her back and you can see how blunt and beautiful that haircut was. That little snippet was one of the inspirations for me to become a hairdresser. I need to find out who did that cut! Like you said, it's the little things.

cassand jsoo Its a song about promoting female attraction, in a heteronormative cisgender perspective. And the only parallel I see is the large group of dancers in the dark, which is an overused trope, done by other artists like Michael Jackson(Thriller), Kelly Rowland(Motivation), etc. And in interviews following Madonna's initial comment, she ended up just milking the conflict and attributing herself to be a great inspiration. She has had a longer career yet she doesn't have nearly as many accolades as Gaga. Who she has accomplished in Film, Songwriting, Singing, Acting, etc. Gaga also repurposed her songs, having multiple arrangements done for her most renowned songs. Also a lot of her work is much more intelligible, poking fun at fame, tributes to her loved ones, and controversial societal concepts. Madonna honestly just has nostalgia and that's it.

Come on girls Do you believe in love? 'Cause I got something to say about it And it goes something like this Chorus: Don't go for second best baby Put your love to the test You know, you know, you've got to Make him express how he feels And maybe then you'll know your love is real You don't need diamond rings Or eighteen karat gold Fancy cars that go very fast You know they never last, no, no What you need is a big strong hand To lift you to your higher ground Make you feel like a queen on a throne Make him love you till you can't come down [You'll never come down] Long stem roses are the way to your heart But he needs to start with your head Satin sheets are very romantic What happens when you're not in bed You deserve the best in life So if the time isn't right then move on Second best is never enough You'll do much better baby on your own [Baby on your own] Express yourself [You've got to make him] Express himself Hey, hey, hey, hey So if you want it right now, make him show you how Express what he's got, oh baby ready or not Intermediate: And when you're gone he might regret it Think about the love he once had Try to carry on, but he just won't get it He'll be back on his knees To express himself [You've got to make him] Express himself Hey hey What you need is a big strong hand To lift you to your higher ground Make you feel like a queen on a throne Make him love you till you can't come down [You'll never come down] And when you're gone he might regret it Think about the love he once had Try to carry on, but he just won't get it He'll be back on his knees So please Express yourself [You've got to make him] So you can respect yourself Hey, hey So if you want it right now, then make him show you how Express what he's got, oh baby ready or not

@gerardohernandezreyes9682 жыл бұрын
@yancarlosvillavicenciosori63282 жыл бұрын
@Nicool4s2 жыл бұрын

Ela pensa a frente do tempo! Ela é a definição de ARTISTA ❤

@@giakatz4471 ... Ah, absolutamente !
