"I want you" is originally a Marvin Gaye hit released in 1976 and Madonna's addition is the video clip to the song. Madonna, as a brilliant mastermind she is decided to combine the hit song by Marvin "I want you" (he sang this song about the love of his life whom he married) with the heartfelt short story written by Dorothy Parker titled "A Telephone Call" - That combination with her sultry voice and emotional video made this song one of her most heartfelt and vulnerable single ever released.

Happy Madonna Monday Madam! You know it's my favorite day. This is a cool interpertation of the song. Very sexy and chilling at the same time! That's cool that you got the "Everybody" special LP release. Way cool. Excited to see the Confessions tour reactions. That is my 2nd favorite tour of hers. I have seen every Madonna your in person except the virgin tour, who’s that girl tour, and the girlie show. The first two cause I was too young. Girlie because it was so limited in its US dates.

Couldn't wait to see your Madonna Monday reaction and this is one of those underrated but amazing iconic videos of hers! It's one of my personal favorites and I love the storyline, being able to be strong enough at the end to not give in to someone who doesn't appreciate you the way you appreciate them. Her ballads though listen to the lyrics, she doesn't have a lot of actual love ballads, it's usually about betrayal or everything else BUT being in love. Something else to have a listen and react to is Guilty by Association it features her brother in law Joe Henry. Madonna at the time had a creepy stalker who managed to get into her garden in LA. When the case came to court the judge said she had to appear and give evidence but she was refusing because she said😢🎉 that's what he wants to be in the same room as me. She was threatened that she would be arrested if she didn't appear. She came back after she gave evidence and Joe got her to record her vocals and you can hear the sound of her voice affected by meeting her stalker. ❤❤
