One of the best interviews Madonna has ever done. She is so right: When she is dead, critics will kiss her ass and praise her. Messed up!
@halloweenville19 ай бұрын
People often have the wrong impression about Madonna based on her over confidence. But if you listen to her interviews, she is never afraid to show weakness or confusion when answering a question. She will often be very deep and thoughtful with her responses, and not just say random generic crap to keep the interview dragging along. She is definitely a lot more in touch with her insecurities than her persona let's on.

@@сиднипрескотт-щ3лNope, they also did it to Prince during the symbol era as well, they belittled him, made fun of him and called him crazy. Especially when he was on point with owning your masters, the direction the industry was going. Being called a bitter old man. I mean his image has been restored with his “comeback” in 2004 (which I don’t call a comeback, he was always here, they just ignored his works) and the Super Bowl. Now after he died, everyone is claiming to have got it and he was a genius and originator while changing his name to an unpronounceable symbol. It’s sad really.

@6:51 = my #1 favorite Madonna interview quote OF ALL TIME!!! thank you so much for uploading this video dude :) “Yeah it affects me, because it makes me realize how miserable most human beings are. And how, instead of celebrating that someone could come from nothing and do something with their life, they have to try to tear you down. Because ultimately, people don’t want to be reminded of how little they’ve accomplished in their life.”

Not the best voice of all times, but she can project strong emotions in her music that amazingly fits her voice, which not everyone can do in such a hollistic and complete manner. This interview also demonstrates one of her key strengths and why she is stil around in the industry after 40 years. She is street smart and has a great guiding intiuition for the decision-making. Some people still dont realize how clever she actually is...

A two CD update of Something to Remember would have been cool. Including some more overlooked older songs, You Must Love Me and other later songs such as The Power of Goodbye, Devil Wouldn’t Recognise You and choices from American Life and Rebel Heart albums. I would have put The Look of Love on Something to Remember. Could even have given it a bit of a remix update to help sell the compilation if she thought it sounded a bit dated. Since including Causing a Commotion on Blond Ambition setlist she’s seemed to largely ignore anything to do with the Who’s That Girl? movie and soundtrack. Pray for Spanish Eyes was highly regarded after Like a Prayer album came out, so she could have included it. I’d have gone for Bad Girl or In This Life, as it is very personal and meaningful to Madonna. Something to Remember was a good title for a ballads compilation, but the song itself isn’t one I like to re listen to so much. One More Chance is fine, but again not one I re listened to a lot. Live To Tell is amazing and an absolute jewel in her discography, but we already had it and Crazy For You too on The Immaculate Collection. They are too good to leave off, but there are other old songs that deserved some much attention too. My contenders to include were: Inside of Me, Love Tried To Welcome Me, The Look of Love, Bad Girl, In This Life, Promise To Try, Pray For Spanish Eyes. Sooner or Later is a slowie but as it’s very assertive, it doesn’t really fit in with a tone of contemplation, heartbreak and loss. I also didn’t pick Shoo-Bee-Doo and What Can You Lose, which is a duet where the male singer seems more featured than Madonna herself.

She said: “Well, when I’m dead they’ll finally kiss ass…. isn’t that how it works?” Then after her and Jane laughed, Madonna added: “When Marilyn Monroe was alive people were so vicious and cruel to her. They ripped her to shreds. I mean, they wouldn’t give it up to her in any way shape or form and then when she died it was like she was a comedic genius…I mean, excuse me? I mean, they do that to EVERYBODY. They dd it to Vincent Van Gogh.“ She did not compare herself to Vincent Van Gogh. She said the public will tear down EVERYBODY, even Vincent Van Gogh…..

It's SO sad how she is all about being hip, going out with 20 and 30 something influencers nowadays and, for some reason, she is trying to make her SEX book happen... Again. After the years she spent trying to be taken serious and singing ballads, starring in high profile musicals like Evita, Ray of light... Pretty much i'm Asking where is THIS Madonna? Why did she have such a change of Heart

To be honest, now, today, i don't like her as much. She should dress like a lady, she can do what she likes, but just wear something more appropriate. Then there's the plastic surgery, which in my opinion, is like a virus, someone needs to speak out against it, she's not being good to herself, and never needed it. i have always found Madonna one of the most beautiful women in the world, and she only got better with age, she put on a bit more weight, her music got darker and more interesting and she got that sort of dominatrix vibe. I thought there was nobody hotter than Madonna, i actually found her more attractive than Marilyn Monroe. All of her older clips, look at her!, she was stunning!. Don't go under the knife, ever, men prefer natural looking women.
