Ouvir Madonna sempre foi um hábito diário em nossa casa e no carro a caminho da escola (em uma saudosa fita K7). Lembro até hoje quando escutei a primeira música de Madonna, foi assistindo ao filme De repente 30 bem no final toca CRAZY FOR YOU lembro de ter ouvido e amado a música e letra, lembro de ter me tocado pois estava em um momento difícil da minha vida, sabe aquela fase onde vc não sabe quem vc é ? Principalmente pra um menino q estava com dúvidas e medo pois se sentia diferente. Quando fui pesquisar sobre a trilha sonora do filme descobri q a música era da Madonna e eu fiquei em choque pois mesmo sem conhecer sobre a vida dela achava o nome dela forte MADONNA, pois bem fui pesquisando mais músicas até chegar em Like a Prayer , foi ai q descobri toda a história por trás do álbum Like a Prayer e a música , fiquei espantado de como ela conseguiu enfrentar o preconceito,machismo e igreja. Em seguida comecei a virar fã e com isso posso dizer q Madonna me ajudou,me deu força pra eu me descobrir e me aceitar como eu era. Foi uma fase difícil eu não me aceitava,tinha medo do preconceito dos outro e até da minha família, sou filho e neto de pastor, minha família é toda da igreja, mas junto com a Madonna consegui me assumir e me aceitar e o mais incrível disso tudo tive apoio de toda minha família. Essa é um pouco da minha história com a Queen. Estou muito feliz de poder realizar esse sonho q é ver ela, esperei 12 anos pra ela voltar pro Brasil e prometi pra eu mesmo que quando ela voltasse eu iria ver ela, pois da última vez eu não tinha condições financeiras, mas agora esse sonho vai se realizar. I remember when I was a 15 year old kid in the UK this video debuted as a Pepsi Ad and they only included about 45 seconds of it, but I recorded it and played that 45 second over and over again, until I could get my hands on a recording of the whole song about 2 weeks later on its first radio play. And then bought the single when it finally came out. We didn't have MTV here in those days. People don't realise how patient we had to be back then. Nowadays everything is instant. Back then we got little teasers and releases like this were huge events.
