In response to criticism that her concert tickets are expensive, Madonna said “ I’m worth it..”..and that if people can spend hundreds of dollars on designer brand clothes, bags, shoes and accessories…those who appreciate her art can spend the same for a 2-hour live immersive experience. Indeed. These rehearsals show, to use an analogy, how sausage is made,…part of the effort, planning, organizing, time, cost and artistic creativity that goes into every number in her concert. It’s no secret that Madonna spares no expense in producing her spectacular concert tours from the state-of-the art staging and audio -visual technology to getting top-notch musicians and dancers. Admirers know that great art is priceless and her sold-out concerts over the last 40 years attest to this. Thank you Dan K for this peek behind the scene.

Dan I've expressed this before and I find it necessary to reiterate: your absence in this tour is a significant oversight. It's perplexing how no one from her team has yet consulted you, especially considering the stunning visuals you've crafted with her material. They are, without a doubt, some of the finest work I have ever witnessed. Like myself, I know you've experienced frustration with the current direction of the celebration tour. The creative decisions being made are, frankly, subpar. The repeated use of the frozen backdrop-a fourth time in seven tours-is not simply lazy, it is egregiously so. Madonna's choice to travel with the Frozen On Fire wig, the Rebel Heart wig, and the Versace bodysuit in tow, is indicative of a disturbing lack of originality in design and visuals. Had she injected the tour with vibrant Easter eggs or exciting elements from past shows-like the pantomime from the Girlie Show-it could have brought a fresh spark to the celebration. Imagine if Jose, Louis, and the dancers from the Blonde Ambition tour returned for a few numbers, or if Nikki and Donna were brought back into the fold. Sadly, all the electronic elements have been stripped from the songs, presumably because electronic music isn't currently in vogue in the pop culture sphere. This tour had the potential to dwarf even the scale of a Taylor Swift tour. Instead, Madonna has chosen to surround herself with a new creative team, a decision that seems to lack the fan perspective on what audiences truly desire. This tour, in my opinion, mirrors the lackluster episodes 7, 8, and 9 of the Star Wars trilogy. I can't help but feel this tour could have been so much more.
