Madonna = A Timeless Inspiration. Its worth every penny to go and see her on tour. The uplifting opening number Nothing Really Matters is the most beautiful show opener I have ever seen. Never met her, but as a teenager growing up in the 80s and 90s, Madonna literally change my life for better. She taught me not to be a bigot towards anyone. Living in the materialistic world, we are always taught to compare ourselves with others. That leads people to overlook their own unique personal qualities, to bigotry and jealousy. Madonna taught me to do the exact opposite and that mindset worked for me. It is not a fandom thing, not a worship thing, but admiration, love, respect and gratitude towards her. Yes, at times I too was shocked by some of the things she did, but when I understood the context and why she did or say those things then I grew to love her more. To me, Madonna is an international art institution and art philosophy. She defined Postmodern art. She doesn't just do pop. She = Pop. The strangest thing is that she doesn't even try to be popular. But due to the visionary that she is, due to her touching upon things that are not conventional, by not following the prescribed norms, she became popular. Her home genre is club music which she always revisits. But she dared to step out of her territory and experimented with other genres as well. She lives to tell. "Let love shine & you will find a way to come together" sung a 22 year girl with a vision and mission from Michigan. American life, may look like a dream for some, but that dream is not what it seems, sung a 42 year mother of 2 who has actually lived the American dream. The radios boycotted her song, but we the fans who did get her message went out and bought 5 million of American life album. In the end, when you do what you like to do in life, when you take risks by expressing yourself, when you grow and live to tell, then "nothing fails", "something is ending and something begins, nothing really matters, love is all you need, everything I give you all comes back to me". Her brilliant biblical songs and expressions = all that matters.

I paid 210 Euros for standing ticket, dont know what they are on about. Her tour is sold out so maybe only if you dish out 2000, you can get something but they were not cheap and ok-ish priced for todays standard and given her status. It's a great show as well, its not just her standing there. The stage is incredible, dancers, screens, costumes, it doesnt come cheap creating those things these days either.

Anyone who has been mislabeled, put down, called all the names in the book, misjudged, trashed, not given the full due credits, discriminated against, has been perceived as a threat, othered, outcasted, yet managed to survive, dusted off and got back up, went back to work and showed his or her "good face" can identify with Madonna. I didn't know what she looked like when I first heard her song at a local record shop. But I loved its infectious rhythm, inclusive message, and her innocent sexy voice so much and bought it right away. The record was "everybody". Her face wasn't even on the 12 inch record sleeve. So, from the outset she had the music essentials. It wasn't until we finally got cabel, MTV and like a virgin that I finally got to see how gorgeous she was. I think her gorgeousness is rooted in her vibrant and defined personality. Even her haters secretly love her and are inspired by her. Never met her in person, but I consider her a great constant friend and inspiration. Love her rasy girlish, deep, storytelling voice, cute campy laugh, both her down to earthness, and her arrogance which is her way of protecting herself against the haters. I believe that Madonna must have been a black woman in another life. She combines and relays toughness, vornubility and warmth at the same time in her way of being and in her work. I am grateful that she "stuck around" to keep inspiring us and making us look at things from alternative perspectives. Her show opener Nothing Really Matters, and the cover of Gloria Gaynor's I will survive are totally descriptive of Madonna. I think the message of these two songs must have preexisted in her heart and played in her head since her childhood and on her way to New York. She has experienced the feeling of abandonment (loss) since her childhood. She filled that with song, dance and semiotics performance art and plenty of love from her fans especially those who identified with her. Everybody can find something in Madonna and/ or in her work that they can identify with.

Sometimes I think as a Madonna huge fan she really don't have the best voice in the world comparing with other singers nor is the best dancer nor is the best this or the best that and for me this is even more the reason why she is my favourite artist of all time, because with all this "limitations" she remains above other great artists on a timeline because she has PERSONALITY, CHARISMA, STYLE, INTELEGENCY and applies that on her artistic path and surpasses herself constantly, from others we can only say: "ok great voice this artist have, this singer is so pretty and sexy,..." we only appreciate them by their technical and physical skills, but with Madonna is different we appreciate her by some of this same skills but as WHOLE, as a PERSONALITY. Everytime she bring us a new record or concert she impregnate her unique strong sincere personality on it remaining coherent with her beliefs and convictions and that's why I think people still follow and respect her. She's BEATIFUL on her own way and I am not only speaking physically which she was of course more when she was younger but she is even more beautiful as time goes by because beauty is not only what you see outside but what you perception the others give you from inside and on this Madonna is the most beatiful person in the world and History because she is such a beatiful soul and human being inside. For any reason singers like Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna that stood for her great voices or style/beauty comparing to Madonna never accomplished what Madonna is and done (and I'm not saying I don't like those artists) because she has that "It" factor, a "je ne sais quoi", a MAGIC MYSTERY that no one can explain but that's why she is a MYTHICAL (LIVING) LEGEND in HISTORY. Many things have been said about this woman in the past and will always continue in the present and future because we want to explain and guess who is this person and woman/human being which is always defying us. She is LOVED and HATED, but the geniuses and myths were always like that, loved for some and hated by others, the true ARTISTS AND GENIUSES were always like that originating debate because they were DIFFERENT. Today to dismiss Madonna is kind of trendy but Madonna is ETERNAL like all LEGENDS are so as time goes by and as fashions move on she will stay UNTOUCHABLE and IMMORTAL as one of the most SINGULAR human beings that come to this planet and universe. Madonna is a mix of unique physical and personal beauty that combined together made the person who she is until today: A GODDESS among GODS. THANK YOU Madonna for CHANGING MY LIFE.

Madonna tickets aren't near that expensive. Beyonce's were super high and Taylor's were astronomical. I have 3rd row lower bowl Madonna tix for $200 a piece through Ticketmaster. Even upper bowl is only $160. Expensive, yes, but nowhere near Beyonce's and Taylor's.
