Sorry but I really like this interviewer. People need to consider the fact that she’s obviously not English so it’s going to take some time to get her English correct. But she asks great questions, not just the generic misogynistic ones she normally gets asked

I really enjoy this interview, Heike is not stupid like many here say, at that moment she was just a noob and she got the chance to learn and to screw it up with such an iconic woman in the music business. Madonna clearly understood her lack of experience and her innocence, even though some questions are badly intentioned but that's just the business of the media, Madonna's attitude here is more in a "teaching" way towards Heike rather than feeling upset or awkward.

I think you're the only person watching the same interview I'm watching because that's exactly my assessment of this ,in fact I saw a tiny bit of sweetness in Madonna's approach to answering the young ladies questions and I find the interviewer to be lovely ,kind and warm and very intelligent .

If the interviewer would sit back and ask exact the same questions with deep, secure voice, this would be a very intense interview! The mind behind her nervousness is extremely sensitive and unattached .. and Madonna finally seems to get it in this part.

I think the interviewer is asking appropriate questions and she's actually holding back because it is obvious that Madonna is on the defensive. She shouldn't have to hold back. Madonna wanted fame and this is part of fame. People will always want to know personal things about her, it is her that put herself in this place.

Yes, and she acknowledges that. Go to 2:58 and see what she says. She's not complaining, she's explaining. Madonna, although a bitch, is a highly intelligent woman and hates banal, weird & inarticulate interviewers like this. She's not on the defensive here - she's bored & clearly finds the woman highly irritating.

The interviewer ist nowadays one of the most famous German actresses. Her question-technique is indeed terrible and her nervousness is blatantly obvious which irritated Madonna (she can be quite unforgiving to unsecure people). However, I like the topics she raised, so in the end this turned out to be a very rare interview, almost brutally honest.

She didnt intended to be cold to punish her for her "inappropriate questions" or else but simply didnt agree with making such a big effort to please the person sitting in front of her as the interviewer did. Therefore she also has a teaching function, as the interviewer really seems as if she wants to do just that and Madonna is known for her attitude that she doesn't want to make an effort to change herself to appear better for somebody else. Honesty can seem cruel. Sad that so many people misunderstand it. It is one of her traits that I value the most. And it takes courage to do that but Madonna doesn't want to submit to that way of thinking, she wants to be true to herself.

I like this interviewer. I don't think she's nervous at all. Madonna was being very defensive and basically rude, but the interviewer handled her very well. Reading questions from cards was probably a mistake and I think that may have irritated Madonna, but so what. It's interesting to watch.

The interviewer is so painfully nervous and Madonna not only picked up on this but tried to to put the young woman at ease while answering her questions maturely and honestly with a sense of humour.

I think Heike was not too nervous, english is not her mother tongue, this makes a big difference. Beyond this, she became quite famous for this kind of broken-speaking-style in Germany. This on the other hand does not fit well into english, nor french or any other language. I also think that Madonna was not only a bit irritated but also a bit fed up!

I know her my whole life because I am from Germany and in my youth a used to wach her moderations often. in this situation it was the answer of Madonna, then came a breake/pause- I think it was a reaction to the controlled and goddes way of Madonna. Madonna rest in her middle, the successfull superstar. The others want something of her. Look how she looks at Madonna, she is a bit overwhelmed talking to her, she is sucked into the peace/controlled world of Madonna. And she hase to be very active to make a good interview. Mabe she drank coffee before too. it could be as well that she expected another or more answers.

I am sick of you idiots who have probably done nothing with your lives criticizing the interviewer. Her English was not perfect, and she was nervous interviewing the most famous woman in the world. I enjoyed her and she held her own just fine. Madonna was in a mood anyway, and if you watch until the end, Madonna validates her and the interview and it was adorable. Although Madonna at 1:05 looks downright pissed, almost gangster.

The interviewer is terrebly bad. she ask Bad questions and she's repeating herself. Madonna stayed calm and patient, and i must say this is what suprised me the most from M. Sometimes when the interviewer asked a certain question, i was like Oh gosh M will definetly lose her patient and say that is a really boring/bad question, but no! She stayed relaxed and polite and she answered the question properly. M's amazing, 'cause i would have lost my patient on these kind of stupid questions.

Madonna stayed relaxed because she knew Heike lacked experience as an interviewer but she clearly saw Heike wasn't dumb and actually knew a lot of Madonna. Madonna usually gets so many stupid boring questions in American media that this interview was probably refreshing to her. She also was sort of a teacher here - more than 10 years older than the interviewer which rarely (if ever) happened to her up until that point in her career and she was sort of challenged by all these questions. If she truly found this boring she would have said it LOL-

WTF is this? The interviewer makes these dumb and vague questions, as if she's asking Madonna for her own personal psychological advice. Plus, her english is not so good for the type of interview she's aiming for. If I were on Madonna's place I guess I wouldn't have much patience either. Seems like the interviewer thought she was going to impress and make this all-time GREAT interview and ends up with inconvenient questions. This reminds of another brazilian interview with Madonna by Marília Gabriela - search for it, same thing happened.
