Not even the tank badges are of the correct vintage (they wouldn´t have survived anyway). I really can´t understand why so many people try to disguise their Russian boxers as BMWs. What do you gain from it? M72 and Urals do have their own character (you may like them or not, I do). There´s no need to disguise them as something different. 2 fun facts: the original R71 was never commissioned by the German military (SV engine too weak and prone to overheating in heavy terrain). And 2nd, overall production of R71 was 3.500 (three thousand five hundred). All the machines that were used in the war were private motorcycles which were commandeered with their owners. And exactly YOU would have found and restored one of them (at a bargain price, of course!)?

R71 was not officially adopted by the Wehrmacht. After trials with both BMW and Zündapp prototypes, the R71 was rejected. The R75 was already there, in response of the famous Zündapp KS750. The high command of wehrmacht decided that the Zündapp was far better than the BMW and asked BMW to produce the Zündapp under licence. BMW refused. They aggreed to modify the R75 to reach the standard level of technology of the Zündapp. You can find those informations in every book about german motorcyles ;)

Em 2010 mais uma modernização visando mais performance com comando duplo DOHC de 4 válvulas de disposições radiais. De 2013 pra frente, refrigeração liquida e tudo mudou muito, veio o comando de abertura variável de valvulas.
