Not in any rush to buy 04, Plenty time to find out details and while I won't buy anymore 03's I'll only replace organically. I don't film so don't carry GoPo's that would be the big motivation to update straight away. Will probably look at getting one lite and one Pro in for summer if reviews are great

Can someone answer this - if I have Goggles 2 and RC2 will both of these products be compatible with o4? I believe the video only makes mention of G2 being compatible with o4….no mention of RC2.

Its a shame they most likely didn't include one. For o3 video quality was on pair with action 2 but now we need to decide for much better video quality and no sound or better video and no sound. Its possible, air unit one got an mic included. Thinking about including a external mic but its even more work syncing the sound to the video files.. I would even pay extra to get rid of a fragile weighty action cam just to get sound

Maybe I’ve missed something with 04,but but on 03 the remote 2 binds to the airunit not the goggles,and 04 is going to support g2,so what remote Would I need to use with g2 and 04?

If the g2 are compatible you will need remote 3

My understanding is a bit different than yours. I always thought that the RC2 l, although binding to the air unit, it actually communicates via the Goggles 2. Hence this is why if your googles lose signal so does your remote. Hence, I would assume if the goggles 2 work with the o4,then so too will the RC2. I could be wrong but I believe the G2 and RC2 both now work with the Avata 2 which is essentially an o4 unit.

Get goggles 2. Biggest and best screens and compatible with everything except race mode, which only matters if you race.

I really enjoyed the lower latency from hdzero when I tried it, and I don't race at all. So that's a matter of perspective. I have flown for over 10 years though, so maybe someone new won't really care much about the difference.

Does the dji o4 only give 60fps even in Goggles 3??

O4 Standard is 4k60 max where as the Pro can do 4k 120 in 16'9. Both can do 1080p 120

For anyone thinking will the RC 2 controller work with the goggles 3 and Neo, the answer is no the RC 2 won't work with the goggles 3 using the Neo.

Goggles v2 are the best goggles. Fastest frame rate. Best antenna options. Best range and penetration. Can wear them with glasses. I won’t buy any of the new goggles so o4 is shit to me. I’ll stick with o3 and buy what’s left on discount

Re caddx not having to use non removable antennas on their goggles - It's because the DJI Goggles transmit the remote signal, the Caddx ones don't transmit at all? And as such swapping the antennas won't change the energy radiated.

Walksnail does transmit. DJI and Walksnail are 2 way communication. They both transmit and receive.

Of course, there will be the inevitable 4 more months before O4 units will be actually in stock for actual shipping and then the inevitable 6 months (at least) until the firmware is finally fixed into a useable state. So I'd allow the usual year or so before actually swiping the credit card for one. OTOH, my traditional quads all are at the O2 air unit level, and it probably isn't financially feasible to upgrade them to O4. Plus I have an Avata 2, so I'm already equipped with the O4 air unit anyway, albeit in a slightly large tiny whoop. I'll have to see what inflation has done about this time next year - then I guess I'll make a decision....
